by the way, during the warmup rounds, since they’re not serious, is there a way that the timer on that could me modified such that there is no <too late to spawn> time?

/me totally agrees with the negatives you list. I just wish people wouldn’t be so concerned about that stuff and enjoy the game

seriously, there is no such thing as a overwhelming map advantage. follow me here:

    1. say t’s are frustrated because ct’s are picking them off at every possible route

response – get teh t’s to run together and plow the road

    2. say t’s are running together and spanking the ct’s

response – get the ct’s together

    3. say ct’s are together basically nukin the t’s as they approach

response – go the other way, stupids

    4. say ct’s are p-o’ed coz the t’s are always going the other way

response – ct’s go the other way

    5. say it’s assault, the most contested map ever

5a. the t’s are holding that fort tighter than, well, imagine something tight.

response – in short, use deception you silly ct’s. get some guy with teh rambo gun to make some noise at one wall and get attention while the other ct’s go the other way. or even better play smart. get snipers lined up waiting to shoot through the walls. they’re pretty thin. then get some poor bloke to run in and look around REAL quick, this will put the t’s on radar. then just line ’em up and blow ’em away. I think this works, same theory as shooting people in the vents, but never tried it.

    5b. the t’s are still too tight…

response – get some kami’s. trust me, a couple o them can really turn the tides.

    5c. the ct’s actually start to dominate… omg…

response – stop camping, or use different spots, you silly silly t’s

Alright, now for the Falcon’s $0.02:

(and this is the last time he’s blowing $0.02 on this subject. He’s about flippin broke now…)

For the last time of many,

NO MAP IS WEIGHTED T OR CT! THERE ARE NO PRE-DETERMINED MAP ADVANTAGES! PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN SOME STRATS, MAN.

I went uber-fancy with my $0.02 and got ALL CAPS…. so now you have heard my opinion. Next time one of these serverloads of whiners are on, if at all possible get me on the game, and tell them to watch and learn from the noob-master. And tell me to grab my mic while I’m at it. I need to bark out instructions so they can see the light.

That is all, have a lovely day.

okay the secret’s out, even though it was never acted on. Us executives had a secret desire to block the WoW ports once the LAN got underway, to save our internet bandwidth…

    cheers!

eh, i’ve played a few games out of westwood studios, Red Alert 2, and Emperor: battle for dune. neither ran very fast on a p2 with, what, 32 mb of ram… so needless to say they got boring. fast.

but now i kinda miss ’em…

also played some age of empires III… not too shabby

or what if we were to open the brackets the minute sign-up closes, and as the day progresses, as the players have the opportunity to take on the person they’re designated to play against, they play. The tourney would be one reeaally long process, but players would be able to play in and out of the PC tournaments, which are typically setup to run continuously from start to end. This way as players lose and are messing around they can get to the console rounds, and we don’t have time allocation difficulties.

    Just a thought… whatcha think?

bumping this comment for re-mention – whatcha say to having it run similtaneous like so?

    65 Justin Wilson $5 – – Lone Wolf

    66 Joey Eggleston $5 – – Egg

    67 Samuel Lipham $5 – – Viladimir

    68 Tyler Gardner $5 – – Jackman

    /\

    |___ they’re with me :P – nonstudent, i think they’re PHS seniors. Lone Wolf is def. considering WCU, I gotta ask the others tho…

by the way, if they come here, the football team will maybe have a chance . they’re the guys that made it to the semifinals in football for the state, good ol’ PHS. Absolutely undefeated until they played the future state champs in the state semifinals, #1 seed v #1 seed. them an’ Zach Jaynes, most definitely awesome.

comments noted. next LAN sign-up I will recommend that every other line, in huge print, we mention the need for consoles and TVs, to get the word out

    random thought –>

is it possible to restrict them to <#> *purchases* a team, that expire whenever the weapon is left on the ground at the end of a round? That way a team isn’t penalized for picking up the other team’s weapons and being smart like that?

and, for the sake of mentioning it, if there’s need at the next lan my PC has tv capture that runs realtime very well, I could possibly see setting up at the console area next time and as I’m out and about you guys could utilize it as an extra 17″ LCD ‘TV’… but it would not be a reliable tv for the ‘whenever you need it’ kind of use you probably need.
