that wasnt a tourney ran by the App gaming club master p it was done by students btw. and man im tired of you always having an “im better than you attitude” on the forums man, honestly i just think you bring alot of negativity to the this forum. I was just adding to the conversation and i was at that LAN last week so i know what it was okay.
yea im down for it. You can put down me and trev to be there for it. im pretty sure audyo and chris will go too. Is it a tourney just for fun or are we putting money on it?
well maybe if you and josh and every other person who loves to play halo at the LAN would actually show up to a meeting and vote for it we could be playing it at the LAN. and btw change the date to the next week so i can go.

yea i thought we were supposed to have a Dell sponsored App vs Western LAN anyway. But i agree that if we knew what date the LAN is sooner we could have a bigger showing and we need games that will bring people like COD4, Halo 3, GoW2, TF2 and maybe some starcraft.
its an unofficial LAN from what i’ve heard. Its something that the Smash guys are putting together b/c its totaly just smash. Im real good friends with Angel aka Cool and Devin from app and from what i’ve been told is supposed to be huge. I havent heard about anything else besides brawl though, but i definitly agree we should sponsor ppl to go. I for one want to go to watch but if ppl car pool it would be real cheap. But on a side note i have had alot of app guys wanting to know about our next LAN so when will that be?
i put poor b/c even though i think that Bitey does a great job i think alot of the other execs are bringing the clan down. I hate how there is a battle between the console and PC guys when we both should work together to figure out what would be best for everyone. I say that PC players should vote for PC and Console vote for consoles and then by that means then talk about it over what will actually be in the LANs. Alot of times people vote things in when more competitive games should be in it. I also think people need to step up in getting sponsors and more people to come. We mainly need to stop all the bickering and grow up! once again though Bitey you are doing a good job considering what you have to put up with all the time.
where is kenny when you need him! he could answer all our questions!
And there isnt going to be smash? that would anger alot of people….
the guys at appstate are just as clueless trust me. Ive talked to the smash and halo guys and they dont know a thing either.
great idea mike. I hope we start making improvements in the gameclub like this to make it what it should be.
wow Kappamerc i just wrote my last post without even looking at yours and we both touched on an amazing idea hahaha
honestly i think the LANs should be what will bring the most people to play it. People who play most PC games are going to play PC games, people who play mostly console will play console games at the tourney. So both sides know what will make good tournies at the LAN so instead of voting why dont we have a discussion on what we think would make for a good LAN instead of having people vote on things that they might like but not play at all. PC gamers should have TF2, COD4 and Counterstrike b/c thats what people like. Consoles should have Halo 3, Smash, Gears of War, SC4 and COD4. Now im not saying wii bowling and mario kart arent amazing, they are but comming from a person who has been to many LANs and tournaments these are what will bring people. honestly how many people do you know would see a sign for a Wii bowling tournament and take time out of their day to come and pay 5 dollars and play it? If you want to make the gaming club and the LANs a success play games that appeal to people competitvely and build up the a section for Free play so casual gamers can come and play as well.
We should stop all this stupid fighting about consoles vs PCs and just talk to eachother about what would make the LAN the best it can be.
i know alot of ppl in band that wanted to come but they couldnt b/c they had to go to some highschool.
one thing that me and a few ppl noticed though was how some tourneys were biased due to who ever was running it liking it more than some games. Now i had a blast in all the tourneys i played in and they were mostly fair but for example it was kinda unfair about how gears took 3 hours to play b/c it was best 2 out of 3 maps with best to 5 on each and when Halo 3 came around it was 1 map and your done basically until the Final which was only 2 out of 3 then. I also wish we could pick our full team instead of having a team of 2 and a random. Even though ephriam destroyed! haha. From what i saw most of the tournies were ran very well by Brenton and Mike lets just get more TVs to get things to run faster and address the problems that Master P was talking about in the PC side of things.
On a side note I think the LAN was well advertised by fliers everywhere but when it came to it u know there were only 1/10 of the people who actually play the games at the LAN. We need to get more people involved by adversting it verbaly in our dorms and classes and to just anyone who looks like they like the games. It dont matter if they are casual or hardcore gamers lets try to get everyone to come. Tell people its 5 dollars for Food and a hell of a lot of drinks and you play video games all day. I know thats a REALLY sweet deal. anyway i had a blast this weekend but i thought that that needed to be pointed out. If anyone else agrees with me or disagrees let me know.

Thats a great idea. Im personally going to it for Halo 3. I am currently 4-0 there for halo tournies soo i’ll make it a win for Western again this time. I know some smash players came up to the last one soo i know there would be alot of ppl interested. Maybe alot of us could go together or something to make it even cheaper. For me though i will be teaming with App kids since the guy i always play with goes there(Bever/Akuzan).
yea i agree with the prizes. They could have been better but i was glad it was actual prizes instead of “tickets” like some ppl said it would be. We just need to get more people to actualy come play in these tourney like Halo and COD. And i think we proved that Soul Calibur 4 was a good pick for the tourney, it had a huge turnout!

I dont think i would have a problem with MP if he just didnt have such an omnipresent attitude towards everything thats going on. I should’ve just realized everything he said would be right no matter what and we all would be wrong….
