EphraimParticipantI’m voting for McCain. LESSER EVIL ’08!
EphraimParticipantFor Brawl, do we choose our teammate or is it the result of a randomizer?
EphraimParticipantDates?
EphraimParticipantIf the first contest is going to be used as a test run, then I guess there’s no reason for us to put up fliers. Word of mouth alone should bring in enough guinea pigs. Still, it would be good to plan out when it will go down, who will judge, and whether or not there will be a prize. If the contest is successful and we want to do it again, we should plan it out carefully and advertise it around campus well in advance.
Honestly, one of the reasons I care about this is because I spent $45 on an antique bell for my costume. If I find out the contest has been cancelled, I’ll personally hunt down the son-of-a-*edited* responsible and kick his *edited* in.
EphraimParticipant
Here’s me and Liam at the last LAN of 2007. That’s me on the right.

If you want but I will really need your help putting up the regular flyers. As I said before, you would not have to put up a single costume flier. That will be the volunteer’s job.
There has been complete silence about this contest since the last meeting. Every time I bring it up, nobody responds. We have two options: carefully plan and market the contest, or cancel it.
EphraimParticipantWhat about my idea of putting up some cheap, basic fliers?
EphraimParticipantIt seems strange to have a contest that nobody knows about. I realize the costume contest is relatively low on the club’s list of priorities, but there’s no need to half-*edited* something that could bring in new attendees. I am aware of the difficulties we’ve had getting the regular LAN fliers up lately, so what if a member volunteers to print out some really basic costume fliers or something and post them up around the UC. I don’t have a lot of expierience designing fliers, but I could give it a go if nobody else is interested.
EphraimParticipant
EphraimParticipantSuggestion: Market the costume contest. I believe that will bring in a ton of people. So far, the only people I know of who are aware of the contest heard of it by word of mouth. We should at least have a sign.

EphraimParticipantIt is difficult for me to imagine Major as a person. I’ve always invisioned him as some sort of non-physical entity. Or a really, really fat guy.
Live and learn, I guess.
EphraimParticipant
EphraimParticipant“The WCU Gaming Club: No Yiffing.”
EphraimParticipantUmm, good for them?
EphraimParticipantWhat I can bring:
-1 PS3 w/ 1 controller
-1 Copy of Halo 3
-1 Copy of Gears of War
Freeplay:
-SNES w/ 2 controllers
-A bunch of games (make way for Battletoads).
EphraimParticipantAs soon as I am done with Castlevania, I’m going for Fallout 3.
EphraimParticipantI don’t know why I find this guy funny, but I do. Be sure and watch the last two seconds.
EphraimParticipantThe Kirby’s Dream Land extra mode allows more than one life and four bars of heath. Luiz was trying something extremely hard by anyone’s standards. He just happened to sound really annoying while doing so. As for Kaizo Mario World, even with save states, it’s a profoundly difficult game. Only the most hardcore of the hardcore can beat it without save states.
EphraimParticipantIt might show up in free play. A lot of us still have N64s lying around.
EphraimParticipantMasterP said:
That mode takes talent. He has none.He was able to beat Kaizo Mario World, so he must have some skills.
EphraimParticipantPerhaps the most annoying Youtube video ever made. Language warning.
It goes on like this for seven videos.
EphraimParticipantFalcon’s a lumberjack and he’s okay…
EphraimParticipantWould somebody make a thread about the costume contest? I’ll do it if nobody else wants to.
EphraimParticipantI played it. It was fun. Didn’t care for the sequel.
EphraimParticipantBest part at 2:55.
EphraimParticipant
Little Barda.
EphraimParticipantWhere’s the ducky?
EphraimParticipantHere’s a potential solution: What if we changed the way games are voted on? At general meetings, we’ll vote on PC tournies. If there is some sort of problem with the choices, the presidet will make an executive decision to change it. Later, the console people will hold a console meeting and vote for console tournies. Any problems will result in the console president making an executive decision. Later still, representatives from both sides of the club will get together and hammer out a schedule. Everybody’s happy.
Just getting the ball rolling. Any thoughts?
