I am a little confused as to why some of the Console gamers are angry. When they decided to switch Mario Kart for Guitar Hero, they got away with it. When they decided to nominate an unpopular PC game to prove a point, they have thus far gotten away with it. They are two for two. Why so angry? If it made sense for the Console President to change the console games to fit the needs of the console gamers, wouldn’t it make sense for a pc representative to change Gunbound to fit the needs of the pc gamers?

For the record, I’m not choosing sides, but can’t we be a little bit reasonable here?

    Diplomatic response:

Both sides make valid arguments. The console people have a point in that they know more about which games are better suited for console tournaments. The PC people have a point in that the rules set up by the constitution should be respected. Some compromises may be in order.

    Honest response:

You all sound like a bunch of whiny babies. Seriously. Is any of this actually all that important? It’s a video game club! It’s not worth getting your *edited*s tied in a knot over! No wonder the club is getting a reputation for infighting. Now, compromise or something so I can finally make a thread that dosen’t end up locked.

That belongs in win. It wasn’t nearly as good as the original, but it was still entertaining.

I am trying to stay open to the possiblity that the Watchmen movie will be good because the trailer is pretty cool, but I am extremely skeptical because I, and I alone, didn’t think 300 was all that great.

Hmm… I thought the bad ending was more satisfying than the good ending. Yes, the good ending was warm and fuzzy, but the bad ending had nukes and really got me thinking about a potential sequel. Or maybe I’m just weird.

Perhapse, after taking control of Rapture, the protag (Jack) was able to get the city running efficiently and turned it into a fortress nation. Maybe he’s like an underwater Franklin Roosevelt.

I hope the premise of the first game has a Little Sister returning to Rapture out of vengence. Heh. Maybe they’ll call her Big Sister. I like the idea that the objective of the second game is to kill the protagonist of the first game.

Our license for IP Board and IP Gallery is expiring in November. The renewal is $30.00 for IP Board and $30.00 for IP Gallery, and we have to purchase the license for both, so that will be $60.00.

If worse comes to worse, I’m sure we could ask for some donations and pool our money together. A few dollars from a bunch of people goes a long way. $60 isn’t exactly a fortune.

Caution: What follows is fa speculation. If you are averse to fan speculation, please don’t read.

    [fan speculation]

A long time ago, I started wondering how a sequel could work. I came up with the an idea: the bad ending of Bioshock is canon.

The protagonist of the first game takes over Rapture and kills all the little sisters

for their adam. One escapes, then later returns to Rapture as a young woman seeking revenge for her mudered sisters.

What do we see in trailer? An older-than-usual little sister standing on a beach. She probably has telekinesis, because she made those buildings appear. I am curious as to how close my idea is to the finished product. Guess I’ll find out in a little over a year.

    [/fan speculation]

After I saw this, I started playing Bioshock again on a harder difficulty. It’s still awesome. I sent the trailer to a friend of mine a few nights ago. He was excited to say the least.

Family Guy can be very funny, but since the show came back from hiatus a few years ago, the writers have started indulging in some really annoying social commentary. It’s pretty much destroyed Brian as a likeable character.
