Toad, without FF on it makes it easy for the defending players to defend the base from spies, infiltration should be one of the easiest tasks of a spy. All the opposing team has to do is shoot at anyone on their own team to spot a spy, now how in the world does that make it easy? No doubt I still get kills with the spy and yeah I am pretty good with them, but I can’t do my entire job cause some people know to shoot at everyone. If FF still existed this would not stop them from doing that they just could no longer shoot at everyone, it would only mean that now they couldn’t do it without penalty. Understand my point now?
Don’t get me wrong kappa I actually am supporting the game in fact I am considering buying it, but yeah I just don’t think the community is there yet.
Its an RTS, a revolutionary RTS, but still an RTS, and I don’t think we have the community for it yet…. Unfortunately
Kuros is going to get with me hopefully on Saturday and we are going to go over things so I will be able to do things while he is without internet. Until then nothing we can do about it…

Kuros I would be happy to assist you on this however I can, but we still have not been able to meet up so you can teach me stuff, give me some dates that you will be free as my schedule has finally loosened up a bit.

Ok, I played 1.6 at the lan and I did decent, I got at least to the semi-finals, and that was my first time ever playing 1.6. I also got to the semi-finals in source, which I have played for at least 2-3 years now. As far as I am concerned “skill” involved only differs in the style of play. When I get shot in source I know how and why and where it came from. In 1.6 I can barely tell the difference in some of the player models and when I do get shot I end up shooting at an ally thinking thats where it came from. So 1.6 players its not that 1.6 is harder “skill” wise its just over all harder to play, I’m not hating on 1.6 just giving my opinion so please don’t flame me.
Could frustration be the secret to unlocking NoDice’s perfect posting skills?

Anyways, I agree with most of what Billy said, I think we definitely need to experiment with all the settings, and people that are in the beta now should give more input to what should be seen on the server when it goes live. Lots of votes need to be taken so we know what the majority wants for the server and so on and so forth.
FF must be on.
Or at least let it be voted on, or give it a shot, it makes it more fun for a spy to play.
And for the love of God have FF on, it is a must for people like me who like to use spy, it makes it more fun for us, because no I disguise in a base and there is always a soldier or pyro who automatically shoots everyone they see cause they know a spy is in their somewhere, with FF they won’t do that as much.
Roomie is playing it now, the graphics look pretty as expected, the brute pistol is the *edited*. No other comments as of this time though.
Agree with you there kappa, its not fair that they can shoot at their own team “just to check” I prefer the reality of not being able to do that.
If you have an ATI card then you have the ATI Catalyst Control Center, it is usually found in your taskbar, and runs in the background, it sorta runs along side your drivers for ATI and supplements it here and there, I dont think turning it off would help, updating may help it, but thats a *edited* to do. But I have gotten these errors as well, and when I got more RAM those went away.
For the record the map was restart in CSS like it was, not because of a few people but the whole T team, it was stated that this is not fun for the T team, the first objective is the lan is to make sure EVERYONE has fun, not just you, and you, so instead of being selfish, be happy that you had fun in general. I wanted to win the CSS tourney but hey it didn’t go my way either, oh well, thats that.
