We are in the process of getting our own server to run everything on, when that happens issues like that will be resolved, I say why fix it now when we will have to fix it again when we get the new server.
So just be patient for now

So the question is, will the q6600 last long enough to be able to handle the new games that will have multi-core support, and will it really be worth it?

That is exactly my point… Your obviously taking what I am saying wrong. Do I need to repeat myself or can you gather from that my point? SupCom is one of the very few games that offer multi-CPU support so it actually makes a difference in your game. I don’t think it is worth the extra money for a good quad-core right now, but I might be wrong, I was just showing that dual-core had and right now at present beat quad-cores for gaming. Did you miss the part where I said I look forward to quad-cores being used more?
So as I was saying, in the future, yes the quad-core will out do the dual-core, but right now and in the past a dual-core is what you want for gaming.
And trust me I cant wait till having a quad-core will be beneficial for a gamer, I am just making sure people are not lead in the wrong direction.
Wrong, wrong, and wrong. The older games that I was talking about are single-threaded and will NOT be able to use all the cores, it will not spread over the cores it will only have the ability to use one core.

4 cores are not better for gaming…it will be for the newer games, but not ones like source or even TF2
The entire ITT network is run by windows 2k3 server, if we ran our servers on linux it wouldn’t work properly I thought that was the issue..
Nope demoman can take that combo out, or a good spy, thats the great thing about this game, there is no ultimate combo that can’t be beat, if the team works together and people communicate you can push back any offense, and a good offensive team can eliminate a defense, the point is this game is freaking balanced perfectly.
