Have either you or Daniel decided on whether or not we will be playing Modern Warfare 1 or 2 yet? And what about Halo 3? Will it be ODST or the original? The reason I ask is because I had a few people I ran into playing games last night ask.
Akuzan is right about Modern Warfare 2 so we will be going with Modern Warfare. And as of right now now we will be going with Halo 3 the original since I know for a fact we have enough copies for both of those tournaments.

Modern Warfare 2 is coming out in November and Halo ODST is overall, a campaign expansion. It has campaign and firefight on one disc and Halo 3 multiplayer on the other. So unless you want to be playing campaign at the LAN you are essentially going to play Halo 3 with a selection of more multiplayer maps.
Also I don’t care either way about default or MLG as it seems a great majority of the tournaments are default. I was just wondering why you are leaning towards not having MLG.
I’m leaning towards a more non-MLG setup because over the past couple of LANs I’ve noticed more and more people showing up that have never played MLG before. With that being said it gives the majority of people that play in the tournaments a disadvantage when we change the weapon spawns around or change the shields setting (Halo 3) and different things like that.
If no one has any ideas on this we can always go with the stock rules that Battle Net uses for ranked matches.

Still, it is important for you (and all executives, actually) to have an understanding of politics. There are several constituencies in the club. The Family comes to mind. They are a large voting block, so it is best not to outwardly antagonize them. Not that you should be an appeasing cowrd or anything, but try to maintain good relations, or at least an illusion of it. Also, nothing gets voters *edited*ed off faster than trying to alter voting rules. Just something to keep in mind.
I honestly don’t see how we are that large of a voting block? 5 out of 30+ people doesn’t seem too big of sway to me. And another thing it’s not like we are going to vote against anything because we’ve been “antagonized” (didn’t really see the point of you adding that), if we don’t vote for something it’s because we don’t like the game. And amongst the people that are in tF we have different views on which games we want to play. And most of us are unbiased in what to play. Take me for example, I opted to not have GoW2 in this LAN just to give it some down time. GoW2 is my game I love it more than any other game I’ve ever played but instead I put my support behind the Wii and PS3 to get it’s popularity up. Please stop looking at our community as some kind of force that has to be appeased. We are gamers just like everyone else in the club.
Western should be getting copies of Windows 7 sometime in the near future. You can probably pick up two (only two) once they arrive for around $15.

Also as a heads up, Thor and I will be in the office for the “club” open house today so hopefully we get some more members that way.
Ephriam I still haven’t heard anything from you about testing the settings for Double Dash. Get back to me as soon as you can.
Also any other tourney style games for the PSP that are popular should be sought out too. If the tournaments run smoothly and efficiently it’ll be a fun little side thing we can add to all future LAN’s as well.
I suggest you try to get some together for this LAN and do a little side tourney (that doesn’t give prizes) to see how well it does. Pick a game that will be easy to do a tournament for. If you get the games and the PSP’s I’ll clear out a table for them.
The Brawl rules look ok. As far as double dash goes I think we should test it before we make it official. We can either do it at one of the mini-lans at central or you can call me and we can set something up.
