FYI in article VI, you have 2 paragraphs that are virtually duplicates of one another.

“If an officer is removed from their position they cannot run for that office again for the period of two years” – my opinion is that it should be for 2 semesters instead of 2 full years.

Other than that it is very good guys.

With this, it would need to be specific. For example, 2 sixteen-week semesters as defined by the University. Because, if you say just two semesters…If I got booted in November I could come back in August because the summer semester is technically a semester. So, we either need to state the time or state Fall and Spring semester! Just trying to remove another loophole :)

How bout have the cookout on Saturday, December 6th. Everybody was already planning on going to the Dell LAN (for the most part) and so most people should hopefully still be available. We could start around noon and Thor could grill cause he does an AWESOME job :)

ok ok ok…. i get it… the free fliers idea did not work perfectly. But hey, we now have 2 new banners! That means we can now get way more fliers. We can easily get generic fliers to post around campus so that students know we exist, and we can also get fliers to advertise the LAN. It all works out!

this is not the first time that LAN Attendance has been put up by the treasurer in a completely different thread.

A simple PM to me would have been the best way to handle this situation. It’s not a big deal honestly.

how bout to settle the flyer issue just blame me! cause I know certain people are thinking it right now. I did my best. So, how bout we move on and start thinking of advertising for future LANs. The past is the past, you can’t change it. So please stop talking about how *edited*y advertising was this time

There was a serious lack of fliers this last time. I heard there was some sort of problem with printing.

yeah there was an issue with printing. It’s called there were 2 home football games during the time that I was trying to print them. I can’t stop the printing of football programs for flyers. I did my best to get some printed and almost got fired for printing them.

For future: we don’t have to have the games listed on all the flyers. we could have some generic flyers to post early then after the games are official we can post more.

in all actuality, it doesn’t matter. As long as everything gets posted and is reported. I’m not trying to take away anybodies Gaming Club rights or anything, but the information is up. Who gives a crud who put it up? this is not the first time I have put up LAN attendance so I don’t see why it is such a huge issue right now.

is the table going to be done tomorrow seeing as though it is reading day and there might not be many people walking around?

I have a form for EVERYBODY to fill out when they come to the LAN. During the LAN I will sit at the table and create an email list for all the forms I have. This is the best time to do this because, if they are at the LAN they are more likely to be available to come to meetings. Also, we will have current and up to date emails for everybody! If you don’t like this idea….I’m still gonna do it :)

as long as people are registered on Catamount Connections we can send out mass emails. I sent one an hour or so ago about the LAN. So, we can send out reminders about the meetings :)

the best way to notify all students is to see if Donna Welch will put a message on MyCat or go to catamount connections and post the LAN. That was done last LAN.

If more PC people had shown up to the meeting, there would be “better” games. People cant complain if people don’t show up. I understand that 3 people were on IRC but that’s not enough. The only way to get the games you really want to play and that you think people really want to play, tell them to come!

On a side note: You guys should be upset that the execs are wasting $60 of your money(money that can be spend for stuff at the LAN). The $50 of the $60 for the website can be payed for by SGA for free, as long as the paper work is filled out.. they are being to lazy to even try.

And why was the lan planed on a date in which the president cant attend? Didnt the president pick the date?

Hate to sound like a negative nancy but i’m getting fed up with the laziness

umm…. just for your info…. SGA really doesn’t have much money. and how the hell is the gaming club wasting our money on something that is strictly for us?!?! It’s not even like we aren’t trying. Plus, it would take about 3-4 just for the money to be approved. By the time it is approved and sent out, the IP Board and IP Gallery would both be expired and we would be without that stuff for a while. SO… It’s a SMART decision to spend gaming club money on this. I mean, if you want IP Board and IP Gallery to expire, then sure we’ll try to get SGA money. And Bitey said that he might not be there the entire time but he was going to try his best to get out of his rehearsal. Don’t call us lazy when you don’t know all the facts :) Cause all the execs are doing are best! have a good day :)

I am not the main contact for SGA. I actually have nothing to do with SGA this year! And yes they agreed to cover the cost in the past, however, that was a different president and that was at a point in school history when SGA had over $30,000 to give to clubs and organizations. This year, their budget is very limited. I really do not see the point in requesting this money from them when we have the money in our own account to cover the cost. If we aren’t gonna spend the gaming club money on prizes for winners, we should put it towards keeping the IP Board and IP gallery alive! IMO!

Liam does it expire at Novembers end? or in 1 week?

SGA will pay for this…. Free Money!!!!! Must fill out paperwork NOW!!!

Technically, this would constitute a Due and SGA Supplimental funding does NOT cover club dues! We should have the money in our own Gaming Club Paypal account!

I just want to clarify that though you did tell me that you were not going to be able to be there until 1 it is still your responsibility to find a replacement to work the table in your absence, this too is from the constitution. I am not upset by this I just wanted to clear up the record, for pretty much any job at the LAN that you have if you cannot be there then it is your responsibility to find someone to replace you and do it for you, not mine or Chris’s or anyone else’s.

Just for clarification…I told yall at the meeting that I was not going to be there until way later and you said that yall would find someone, then the Wednesday before the LAN I told you that I was not going to be there until at least 1 and you told me to not worry about it and that you would find someone to work the table. If I had known that it was my job to find a replacement, I would have found one a week or so before the LAN. But because I had been told twice that someone else was going to find a replacement, I left it alone.

If anyone has issues with the attendance sheet, take it up with the Treasurer.

excuse me…..DO NOT take it out on the Treasurer. Half of those names were on the sheet BEFORE I got there. So….take it up with the person that wrote your name down. Also, If I don’t know how to spell someone’s name I ask them and almost all the names I wrote they spelt for me. So…YEAH!!!!
