I’ve heard from a couple engineering students that game-related technology has reached a standstill, and that the improvement between this generation’s consoles and the next will be relatively minor. If this is true, it could explain why all the game companies are dragging their feet to announce the new consoles.
Ive actually heard this from several people concerning computing in general. It actually kind of makes me happy considering the fact that this means we will more than likely be getting a longer console life out of our consoles.

Not according to recent press releases and interviews. Apparently they’re right on track with where they said they’d be with the final version scheduled to be shown at E3 2012 and a release a few months after that. Game developers interviewed in September noted that they were developing games that took advantage of the controller displayed at E3 2011.

Interesting. I must look into this at some point. From what I heard about the new Smash game, its getting completely re hauled. From what I was told, it was going to be like a fighting game-rpg hybrid where you can level up your character. That may be old news though, im not sure.

– And if Jin Kisaragi was not the most heterosexual male in the entire BlazBlue cast.
Speaking about the PC master race, when are we going to implement facebook flash games into the LAN events?
Idk man, im thinking we should have a Yatzee tournament or Farmville tournament at the next LAN. I know Yatzee would beat out any game voted in for the next LAN because who the hell hates Yatzee?

Nintendo didn’t care about online play until very, very recently. It kind of looks like they are trying to bring their online multiplayer (and graphics) up to 360/PS3 standards with the Wii U.
That would be nice. Also not having $200 controllers would be nice too lol.

I dont know I mean hell, Im pretty sure Brawl WAS patchable, I think Nintendo just didnt care because they had other games they needed to work on (Zelda, Metriod, Mario Galaxy, you know, that *edited*). I just wish that they would have thought a little harder about movesets and whatnot because no matter what your “playing preference” is, hardcore, casual, neutral, whatever, Metaknight made that game 50% less fun.
And honestly, if hearing Luigi repeating his awesome “ya,ya,yahooo!” phrase while sliding across the stage like a lunatic doesnt make you smile or laugh, then you sir are insane!

Yea it sucks, i miss the good ol days of being alOud to do it ourselves. The last time I tried to do that, the RD told me I had to leave.
Resident Evil 2 was the only good Resident Evil movie, and even then, its not all that great of a movie.
And Ill set the record straight now, there are 2 video game movies in my opinion that arent that bad, Hitman and the original Mortal Kombat movie, thats it (unless we are talking about video game movies that are so bad, they are funny in which case, Super Mario Brothers would be up there lol).
I hung a quite a few all around campus (as did Dustin) and i gave about 100 fliers to Reslife to give to the RDs to hang last week.
I like this idea. Ill ask her about it Tuesday or Wednesday. Ive got tons of game soundtracks that would be great for the LANs.

-When signing official SGA-related papers, use “WHEE GAME”
-On the flyers, just say “THE GAMING CLUB”
This would work. Sorry Ephraim, but I dont think SGA is gonna budge on this subject matter considering it is for legal reasons. Other than that though, this will work.
