Shoutbox

As is blatantly obvious, I’ve reinstalled the shoutbox and gotten it working for IPB 3.0.x.

If you get any errors of ‘nopermission’ when attempting to use the ShoutBox, then you need to clear your browser cache and do Shift+Refresh in order to make the browser re-download the javascript and ajax files to your computer. (This was an issue and was something I had to correct. Cached copies of these files will still have the old issue unfortunately though.)

Renamed the Shoutbox to ‘WCU Chatterbox’. Reversed the shout orders to put the newest ones on top.

Also, I think the shoutbox was only available to admins before, but when I’m signed out, I can see what’s being said.

Its available to everyone including guests, however, only authenticated users can post.

If you want something removed, ask someone. All of the root admins, club execs, and club advisors can moderate the shout box.

The swear filter has been implemented into the ShoutBox. This will cause the ShoutBox to filter swearing if you are either not logged in or have the swear filter enabled on your profile.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it appears that ever since the shoutbox is installed, the sidebar is teh disappearo.

My sidebar is closed, but I never had anything in it anyway?

By default, there should be a “topics you’re watching” and “recent posts” modules in the sidebar, and by the looks of the admin panel, they are still enabled….so…fixy fixy.
