I was under the assumption that your absence was due to the fact that you were in grammar school. Judging by the title of this thread, it is clear that I was misinformed.

Don’t thank me for being awesome…thats like putting a price tag on perfection.

‘Perfection’ implies that no mistakes are made. Clearly, the grammar in the above post does not represent ‘perfection.’

but its cs edict to only go A when their are less than 3ppl per team on d2. I’m sure you know this and was just being a banana hammock

For those who are wondering; in NoDician, “edict” is the equivalent of our English word “etiquette.”

This brings up an interesting point. The word “edict” refers to a decree, or a proclamation of law. One such “edict” is the famous Edict of Expulsion which was brought forth by King Edward I of England. This edict required the expulsion of all Jewish people from England and made the property owned by those Jews the property of the government of England. Therefore, “edict” might still work in place of “etiquette,” but it is customary to only use the word “edict” when naming the actual law.

I have discovered your secret identity

The secret idenities of those officers comprising The Grammar Police are to be known only by the president of the W.C.U. Gaming Club. Adam Faulkner created this unit two years ago in an attempt to eradicate the use of incorrect grammar on this website. Only Adam knew the identities of our members until NoDice blackmailed those identities out of him.

We can choke on a single banana? We cannot even begin to imagine the situation that would preceed a police force of 20 men choking on a single banana.

We see that you are laughing at your miniscule attempt at humor — intentionally using “know” in place of “no” — but please take note that we will not be laughing when you are institutionalized at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Intensive English Institute.

There is no acceptable reason for two commas to be typed consecutively. This example of blatent apathy toward the English language will ultimately be your downfall.

As impressed as we are concerning the applicant’s correct usage of the word “are” in lieu of the more popular “r,” Mr. Faulkner’s budget on our squad is tight. We do have rooms available in our jail that young Mr. YahooEarth may be interested in. Judging by his application, he seems to be a worthy candidate.

We are sorry for our recent absence. After becoming popular on the Western Carolina University Gaming Club’s website, we received national attention. Naturally, our conclave was asked by the United States Government to follow around President George W. Bush and correct his many daily grammatical errors. You may have noticed that he has improved greatly over the last year. We made the executive decision that either our work was done, or President Bush was a lost cause. Either way, we left the post to assume our original job at WCU shortly after receiving an e-mail from our original boss, Adam Faulkner (approximately 2 minutes ago).

NoDice may as well change his name to NoChance, representing his odds of staying out of jail in the coming weeks and months.

TGP im fully aware of the grammer mistakes of that post..for it was to be that way for fun..but thanks anyway

Duly noted. However; there are many other grammatical curiosities in this post and the one below. For starters, the word ‘grammar’ is spelled with two ‘A’s.

The amount of time that I spend checking my posts after completing them does not come close to the amount of time you spent sleeping in English class. Also, you tell me that I spend too much time on the internet. This is the first time which I have checked this site in a week. Look at your own post count before you accuse another of spending too much time on the internet.

You may make fun of me and my lack of a significant other all you would like. That does not change the fact that I have a beautiful girlfriend or that I am completing a degree at a top tier national university (as verified by the U.S. News list) for a doctoral degree.

Whether you were trying to circumvent the language filter or not, the word you were looking for ends with “er,” not “a.” I would be angry if I were to find out you were from Boston.

Say this sentence out loud: Park the car in Harvard Yard after Nomar hits the ball wicked hard over the Green Monster.

If the result of that recitation resembled the following; “Pahk the cah in Hah-vud Yahd aftah Nomah hits the bawl wicket hah-d ovah the Green Monstah,” then you are from Boston.

TGP, why are you posting drunk so much lately? “compared to the atrocities embodied in the misspelling ‘thanxx'”? If you’re going to go with that structure, you need an “of” between “misspelling” and “thanxx”. Alternatively, you could just remove “the”. In any case, I don’t know how you’re qualified to correct other people’s grammar when your own is rather poor …. pwned.

    Review the following sentences:

I wanted to use the word “thanxx.”

I wanted to use the word of “thanxx.”

I wanted to use word “thanxx.”

‘Misspelling’ is being used as a noun (just as the word ‘word’ is in the sentences above), not a verb, so removing the definite article (‘the’) can not be done. Adding the word “of” is unnecessary. The wording used in my reply was grammatically correct.

By the way, the period in a sentence goes before any closing quotes.

It takes just as long to spell the word ‘thanks’ correctly. The word “answer” has the letter ‘n’ in it, although that will be considered a misdemeanor by the Police compared to the atrocities embodied in the misspelling “thanxx.”

Your attempt at shortening the word “didn’t” actually produced a word longer than “didn’t” itself. Congratulations.

If jorm4n is currently keeping you up, then the form of the verb to be used is “keeps” or “is keeping.” If, as expected, this action was performed in the past, the past tense of the verb must be used. For example, the sentence would read as such: “jorm4n kept meh [sic] up.”
