The problem with that, as said before, is that people fresh into the server feel less “welcome” by having to achieve a certain amount of kills to begin ranking.
The ideal way to do it, would be to apply a weapon modifier in part with a kdr reader, so that the higher your kdr in game, the less points you get, and the lower the more you get. so everyone gets equal points whether they have 1000 or 4000 points. That way, if you’re pwning newbs you get minimal points, and if you’re sucking and spring back to life, you get a good point scale.

I had a 5600 card when i first built my computer, the fans on the heatsink eventually melted and i smelled burning so i turned off the computer. No overclocking at all, and internal temperatures (case) were around 35*. Got an ATI 9600, basically the equivalent card, same price, same specs, and the difference was just astonishing. 10-20 point fps boosts, much smoother and quicker reactions, etc etc.
Firstly, I suggest getting an ATI card, and secondly, i don’t suggest spending over 200 for it, because as with all things computer related, they either day or need to be upgraded in a few months.
and seriously, 400 dollars on a graphics card… put that towards an hdtv or a 36” monitor/tv.

I think you guys should throw some fun maps on the server but dont set them into the vote, so only an admin can change to them when the mood is right. because sk gets old, and theres a lot of better fun maps out there.
I totally understand that militia is camper central, and that it doesnt hit the rotation enough to really warrant a change. But italy is played probably 1-6 maps, and the times when ct’s actually try to rescue, it never fails that they run out of time. Which always leads to them just trying to kill all the t’s.
Also, i’ve said this previously, but i really think courthouse would be a good addition to the maps list.
what bracket said. i think you guys should plug the forums in the server. every 10 minutes or so. maybe make one of them pretty MotD blings.

What about on italy? it’s usually pretty difficult to run the gauntlet to the house, then be able to make it back with the hostages. although it is a pretty fast paced map (t’s rushing) it’s a pretty long distance from spawn to spawn and back. I can understand on militia and assault since those are camp heavy anyway. but it’s just a thought.
Extend the round time on assault, militia, thunder, and any other cs map that is almost impossible to beat in 2 minutes. but mostly those 3 up there.
Is there any way to turn stats off in the warmup rounds? i know stats arent that terribly important, but I think most people will agree that if you’re gonna take our points away, at least do it during real gameplay.

There was actually a politician in Michigan (if i remember right) who fell for one of these and ended up spending 2million dollars of the states tax money on the nigerian prime minsters fund. he was in his 60’s.
So yes, people fall for it all the time, although its mostly older people and people who have no common sense.
