yup thats the trend indeed. I would even say 90% of all popular tf2 servers are 24/7,, however i only have 1 servermaybe down the line WCU can do a second 24/7 TF2 server along with one with a small rotation
but yeah, i dont think a 24/7 server is going to bring in community b/c they will get board of playing one map over and over and just hop around to another server. Im going for a dedicated community which may be smaller,, but still better than a 24/7 server that wont bring as many to this website. once their is a small base we can start expanding
I call it the dust2 principle. Everyone love dust2 so everyone looks for a server with dust2 on it. Yes they leave when they get bored but because EVERYONE loves dust2, people continue to come and continue to play and the fact that they will leave doesnt matter. Same in tf2 w/ 2fort
Once we get a reputation as a full server we will have regulars can a community will start.
