Agreed, my advice for the new president is be aware of timings and scheduling and get started on that stuff WAY EARLY. So take what ever you think early is and go like a month earlier because you will inevitably run into problems and have to reschedule.
Also we could always go to one meeting per month, or even per week, but to do that I think again that we need to consider what kind of benefits people get for showing up to meetings and becoming a member. Like other organizations we could also include an induction ceremony into the club, something for people to shoot for, I dunno just throwing some of my ideas out on paper.

MasterP, you are right, after I posted that I thought about how some presidents policies take forever to take place, like 3-4 years somtiems so yeah, it may be that one of Bushes plans comes through the woodwork and brings us out of the rut, we don’t really know, but I dont really care what happens as long as it does and it helps the people who need it.

Anyways, just wanted to clarify that I did not vote in this election, I am neither completely Republican or Democrat, I listen to speeches, and I go to non-partisan websites to wade through most of the political bull *edited* and figure out what is really going on. So my statement about waiting to see what he can do was just my opinion, I mean we won’t know how successful he is until a year has gone by in office, that is how long it takes for a nation to make dramatic changes. If the economy does pull out of the rut it is in, then we will know that it is because of the policies and plans that Obama put into place, if not then I am sure that if he sees his ideas are not working he will look for alternatives. I doubt Obama is so close-minded that he would go with his plans no matter what, even if they don’t work, if he is, well then the country suffers because of it. I think that is part of the reason why people wanted something different because McCain was basically keeping the same plan Bush had. People that are hurting for money and scraping by to live are the ones that voted for Obama because they wanted “Change”, people that most likely normally do not vote did this time because of that, 8 years of the same stuff was not going to cut it for them, so the people showed they wanted “Change”.
Just my thoughts on the subject, mostly opinions.
It’s been two days and your already complaining about the new President? FFS man give it a year and let him do some work and then maybe you will have something better to complain about, I tell you what though, you can complain all you want, but it is not going to change anything…
Meeting will be on Thursday January 29th, 7-10 PM, in Illusions, third floor of the UC.
This date will not be changed again under any circumstances.
Freaking schedules man… everybodies is conflicting.. Guess I will try next week, how does Monday, 7-10 sound?
Jill is only person to get space set in the UC, other buildings would require just access to the room, permission from the RD and someone there to let us in. I am thinking on Friday as that is the best day I can do it, so tomorrow is the decider if I can AGAIN not get in touch with Jill then I think we should just convene at Central as KazKa first suggested.
Went today to schedule and Jill was sick and out of office for today. So I again could not schedule the day, I will try again tomorrow.
Yeah to do that the person running them needs people to show up, I ran those things by myself so many days and it got real old, real fast.

Steps were taken but people either were too busy or didn’t care enough to come to the tables and help out. We did our part but it seems too many people prefer single player games, or games like WoW, neither of which we can really support in a PC online gaming environment where we host servers, which is the original idea of the club.

well you know you could train somebody without being the president…Sure can and if that is the case I will do so, doing it the other way makes me do it faster, only reason I had that idea. I dunno, other than how it ended with Shane and I, I liked the way it was done, kinda like an apprentice thing and it worked very well. If no one agrees then that is fine I will still train the new person it just will take me longer as I will not be as committed to doing it, since time is not as much of the essence. My goal would be to resign way before the first LAN and have the new person ready to go way before then so I can get out of the way and let things move on, otherwise I would prefer taking my time with him defining details I might miss otherwise, I dunno its just a matter of opinion and that is kinda how my schedule works right now, so I leave it to the club, end result for either will be the same.
I’ll reveal my plan, my idea was to run temporarily to train the new President, my way of doing it would mean whoever ran for VP would be the President after I resign, which will be as quickly as possible for me, as long as I feel like you know what you are doing and have learned everything I can teach you (I won’t have to charge
), then I see no reason why someone like Kaz-Ka couldn’t run the first and second LAN of the semester, I just have to make sure I get you trained up in the computer and business side of things, whoever it may be, all of this will be announced at the meeting, but again I am only running to train the new guy cause it forces me to still be involved once the new person is ready to go I am gone, well at least not gonna be running things anymore

The problem is not the fact that to secure a room is difficult the hard part was Jill was always in meetings and between me and Chris we couldn’t get in touch with her.
My god… people seriously I had other obligations and had to reschedule, then I never could get in touch with Jill to reschedule for Monday, this is not all my fault, when I could not get it done I asked Chris too and he got the same stuff I did and could not get in touch with Jill. The meeting was scheduled within plenty of time to print out flyers if the original meeting time were still there, the problem comes in because I am busy AS I SAID I WOULD BE FROM THE BEGINNING. Really upsetting that all you guys can do is get upset when one little things goes wrong, don’t worry I will get a time set soon and if someone wants to print out flyers then go freaking print them out, I shouldn’t have to tell you to do that, talk to our current marketing admin, this is not a one man show, I expected all of you to do your part, and while some of you have others just sit around twiddling your fingers expecting us to do everything.

Can’t make it today, I just got back from rehearsal and I have too much to do today, I am also, thanks to snow, currently stuck at Rabbit Ridge, don’t worry, there is not much to do for this LAN as most prizes have already been collected, although a few more would be nice, I will reschedule ASAP. Thanks for your patience guys and thinking on your feet about using Central room for meeting, but I just can’t do it today.
