When they said Steam works on “Macs”, they meant Macs that have all the parts of a PC and are capable of running Windows.
They’ll never make Steam or its games compatible with a true, Apple-built Mac. They won’t be compatible with Macs in a few years either but Steam was thinking more along the lines on short-term, rip-off sales as opposed to long-term customer satisfaction.
i mean steam was doing something nice they didnt have to do
who actually buys a mac to game on anyways? and those that do, dont they all use windows? cause the mac gaming performance isnt exactly spectacular, unless you think taking a 30% performance hit for being in an OS that “just works” is worth it.
Blizzard is the only company that actually cares about gaming on a Mac. Everyone else is just doing it for the quick profit.
Btw, you know as well as I do how blind some mactards are when it comes to stuff like this.

So I’ve lived here in Virginia too long now. I grow tired of it day by day.
I have another year of school. My plan is within the next two or three months find somewhere else I can move. I plan to apply to grad schools on the west coast and outside the country and hope something lands. Sadly my gpa is le fail due to being in engineering for two years so I have to have a plan B in case that fails.
I thought I could always do armed forces but I really would like something other than that. A friend suggested the peace corps…. I think it would be rewarding but I’m still not sure.
Just pondering…
get certified to be a teacher
anyone can do it, and the test is hard but not that hard. I donno about where youre at, but down in Texas they are dyyying for decent teachers. It’s not great pay, but as a single male, 45-48K starting is PLENTY.
All else fails join the peace corps. I’m currently getting certified to teach 7-8th grade math, and if i don’t land a job this fall, i’ll probably take up teaching in the peace corps.

I’ve done the south… I really need a whole new region. I actually do not want West Coast, but more of Middle/North West if anything. That’s the one place I haven’t lived for any significant amount of time.
I just need change of scenery often or I get angry, and I’m starting to do so with Virginia.

I wanted to teach for a while but I do not feel I have the patience for it. I realize in history I would end up teaching either high school or university level which is fine, but any lower and I would go crazy.
Sad thing about the peace corp is I need a second language. I think I will try to learn French so I can work in West Africa.
