I was referring to consoles. The PS3 has always been touted as being extremely reliable but in recent years that’s proven to not be the case. It’s better than the 24% failure of the 360, but still, 10% isn’t really something to brag about.

PSP has always had a decent homebrew community, more coders chose to play with it because it’s essentially a mobile PS2 but the virtually non-existant security on the DS has significantly leveled the playing field.

 

What kind of emulator you looking for?

Well in particular I want a gameboy emulator, but of course might as well throw SNES, NES, and genesis in there while I’m at it

 

As of now I am stuck doing the half-byte loader with the patapon 2 demo save exploit, but I would really like it if I could get a custom firmware or something on there so i could just load the emulators directly, but I do not know how to do this.

i think its possible to do since i have an older psp-2000 maybe i can downgrade the firmware and install a CFW on it with something called a pandora battery? not really sure on all that though

Being that I absolutely hate sony products and refuse to own one I’m not really qualified to give you a step-by-step.

So I ordered a couple boxes of Federal HST ammo. It’s really hard to get because the manufacturer limits their sale to law enforcement only due to their “unique” expansion and stopping power. Only way non-cops get it is if someone cancels an order.

 

Any takers on whether or not it actually ships?

meh that site is full of extremely old info and not helpful to someone on a relatively new firmware version like me.

You might be able to downgrade but it’s typically not a good idea.

well i put on the snes emulator using the patapon 2 exploit but its hella slow. looks like the only way i will get fullspeed emulation is if i put on the custom firmware but i risk bricking my psp….

 

on the other hand, the gameboy color, NES, and genesis emulators all seem to work nicely so I might just stick with them.

Does the genesis emu play the larger roms like sonic3+knuckles or just the smaller ones?

 

I know the DS emulators have all kinds of trouble playing the larger SNES and SGEN roms.

It is with deep regret that I must inform all of you that post #2098 in the greatest thread ever to grace these forums will be the last.

 

The complete loss of an online community for this club and the loss of one of the club’s greatest contributors, and co-owner of this thread (the beloved MajorMajorMajor) has forced me to realize that this thread will never be the same. Rather than drag out this thread’s miserable existence any longer, I have decided to just end it.

 

I know many of you can post in locked threads, but I hope that, in respect to this thread and what it means to these forums, you will preserve this locking.

 

Farewell to thee great thread. You will be missed.
