I would have to go with when I was first leaning CS, back in 1.3 (2001-ish). I had this old Compaq computer, and the sound didn’t work in game. So I learned playing silently (which I got pretty good at, btw). Anyway we were on de_prodigy and that map is a giant circle. I was the last one on my team alive, and there was only one other player alive. So I am running around the map, I think I was a t, and for some reason I am running in one direction. I ran around the map like 5 times, I then hear these kids on my dormitory floor laughing so hard. They were all dead, but spec-ing. Turns out that the other kid was running behind me for like 2 and a half minutes with his knife, trying to kill me. I don’t remember how that map ended, if I turned and shot the kid, time ran out, or if he knifed me. But I will never forget that, absolutely hilarious.

Sorry: Obviously that was not source.

Even though I support Militia, I have to agree with Yahoo on this one.

It is? Cause I’m pretty it isn’t. (and I’m outta school for some time) (but is this college or highschool, though it doesn’t really matter. – Either way I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

Also, TF2 has a free weekend, so I tried it out, but no one was on….. :(

I support de_corse (10 min) coming back, but I know a lot of people that couldn’t handle it. It was a nice map though, beautiful, and fast paced.

cs_havana for 10 minutes as well, another hostie map would be nice. Also, a run of militia and/or chateau would be nice. – but these can kill the server if its in a bad location in the rotation.

Also, that Paris map looked nice, if we could do a run with that that would be great.

Current maps that tend to kill the server: de_aztec, deagle5

    Current maps that are hit/miss: de_contra, de_nuke, de_strata, de_cpl_mill

These last set might be due to their location in the rotation. Also, I think that de_dust2 could go down to once in the rotation, but that’s just me.

In terms of modification: strata to aztec has killed the server many a time. Also the location of cbble slows down the server as well.

Yay! Damnit on the reset, I just made it to 8th like this past weekend. Oh well, I guess I can shoot for it again.

Also, if you don’t notify them, they may catch the error on their own, and then withdraw the money unannounced. This goes to bouncing, but it also could be a drastic decrease in funds when you think you have more.

However, there is a chance you could get away with it, but its a gamble.

so now its working, but switches eople like every round. Does it take into consideration the spectators? cause it did nothing when there were 3 specs

I agree with Angel about deagle5. I think the issue is that we have so many regulars playing who are concerned with their stats that they will just leave right away when D5 shows up. I don’t that is as true of sk3, as the server usually stays full for sk3, but empties during d5. I don’t know if it should come out, or just be shorter, or an admin vote option only, and not in rotation.

completely random? or with some consideration for the previous map(s)?

I have actually joined a gym. But gyms aren’t that fun, so I was looking for “fun” way to help me keep in shape. The friend that has it says she loves it, but still hasn’t had much time to use it, due to finals and other random exams we have. Hopefully she will get more use soon, and I will be able to put up a more detailed review/response.

ya, you can do all sorts of crazy *edited* with event scripts. i saw this script on there one time where if t’s have dropped the bomb, the ct’s can go ahead and pick it up and run with it. totally awesome! so, it very well could be using es.

that bomb script sounds like capture the flag. Which would be awesome.

Well giving admin vote powers for maps would be similar to the rtv for under 10 people, since rule is that cannot initiate map vote unless server is less than half full. But will an rtv mod screw with the rotation? My vote is in for rock the rotation, and just move onto the next map.

I second #16. One of the problems with rtv is only a few maps win each time, so there is much less variation. I think a change up in the rotation may be a better solution. If you are a reg, you know the rotation, and how to see what’s coming up next. If you don’t like a map, take off for a few and come back. Different people like different maps.

we’ve seen the 4 site-radar issue on other maps, I don’t remember which, well I have, not “we.” Particularly the ones that don’t have mini-map. I’m sure they don’t exist.

Other issue: there is a heavy echo that gets picked up when mics are used. It is weird because it carries over to the next map: cp_mill. However, when we first tested the map on the server it wasn’t before mill, but the echo carry-over still occurred.

I don’t think its an ambient sound thing, but it might be. Like the garage door in office from 1.6. I haven’t tried the sound fix in console to see if that works. I also haven’t tried to see if it carries beyond mill as well.

But not just speaking is echoed, also the “Fire in the Hole” as well. As far as I can tell it is any “voice” communication. Next time it happens I will try to see if I notice if firing and explosions also echo – or even footsteps.

but work pays the bills…and sides, this game isn’t the end-all. I don’t think the regs will leave, but a change would be nice.

okay, i will let you know if it continues. I have played the map a number of times, and i didn’t even notice the echo when i was on beroth. But once I got to mill i had it. So who knows

I wanna say #15 is The Wizard

All those little images look like screens of Donkey Kong Jr. But The Wizard was based on Mario 3, so….but that was the end of the movie, and i don’t really remember the rest of it.

yeah, i know. And with a semi regular schedule, you sometimes can only get in at the same time, and well, it is the same maps. Was a random rotation ever suggested or even possible?
