    Ok so heres what happened

back on the 5th I send an e-check to VaTech to pay for the first semester

-at first i didnt have the money in my checking so i moved the money from savings

-3 days later VaTech accepted the payment and the money was gone from my account

-5 days ago i checked my account and the money is back (minus the returned check fees)

-but VaTech insisted i payed already when i called today

now usually i tend to understand wats going on with waiting periods and such, but… vatech has their money and i still have my money…. should i just be happy or called up BOA for being retarded

and is this supposed to happen (ive payed with echeck b4 and no problem like this…)

When I contributed to my IRA account a week ago it did something very similar, Wachovia thought I still had the money and Wachovia Securities was already investing it. Give it a few days and it should fix itself. If it’s not fixed by Tuesday night I would call them first thing Wednesday morning.

DO NOT remove the money from the checking account. Overdraft fees suck and you don’t want it to bounce a month into classes.

Also, if you don’t notify them, they may catch the error on their own, and then withdraw the money unannounced. This goes to bouncing, but it also could be a drastic decrease in funds when you think you have more.

However, there is a chance you could get away with it, but its a gamble.

The bank will always figure it out eventually, and like everyone else has said, I don’t think they are required to notify you when they take the money…
