I bought Halo2 for PC about a week ago and so far its kick-*edited*. I never played the X-Box version so I dunno about the glitches.
I haven’t had a lot of time to really devote to Halo2 though between school, work, and playing around with CS:S.
ps. Vista is better than XP any day of the week.
Well, I’ve got a 17″ HD Widescreen on my laptop and a 20″ HD Widescreen on my desktop at home, so the widescreen does a good job for me, and I love the 2048×1200
I loaded up a set of new drivers on my laptop and reset my resolution today to 2048×1200 widescreen and I was pushing 80fps during firefights.
I think I need to have a “chat” with my desktop being as its sucking right now and its a heavier processor, more memory, and better video card. Heh.

yeah uh… 5.1 surround + a 20 dollar mic .I use a 5.1 set of Logitech THX certified speakers on my main pc. Though I had trouble with the mic getting feedback from them so I just swapped to using the headset 100%.
One thing I have noticed with the headset is that it gives a lot better depth perception so to speak, so I think I’ll stick with those for gaming and use my desktop speakers for everything else.

I wonder what I’d get at that resolution. heheheSo I actually had a thought about the points system. Everyone complains when a bunch of noobs get on once in a year and hacks or gets lucky and runs amuck and just wastes everyone costing tons of points.
Well, what if there was a limit on it? To be eligible to take points from others / earn points you had to be above say 50 or 100 kills? hlstatsx already keeps up with kills/deaths/points so it wouldn’t be much more than adding an additional check in the code and recompiling.
if(getKills(player) > 100) { player->points += points; victim->points -= points; }or however you want to do it.
Could save a lot of headache and complaining.
Just my two cents though.

Thats the exact pair I picked up. They’re kick-*edited* awesome so far. The quality is great on both the headphones and the mic. I was actually a bit surprised at their depth when I put them on earlier today with my laptop.
RiceKrispies — while Office Depot may be a soul-eating corporation, its nowhere near as bad as Wal-Mart or Best Buy.
I wound up getting the logitech set. They’re kick-*edited* so far. USB plug-n-play with the mic and headphones and the quality is amazing. They’re fairly sturdy as well.

p.s. I got em from Office Depot so I avoided the evil monopolitic companies all together.

Sorry about the long absence, had to go out of town and visit the parents. They like me to come home every 6 months or so for some odd reason…not sure why though.
