Cause, it was a gift from the oil companies. It’s made of 24k gold and 100% human back-bone.

Spectatorman, human backbone? sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet, i’ve always wanted one of those, but it doesn’t go well with my skin tone

Don’t pay any attention to the bullet holes in the bone though….June 14, 2007 at 1:13 pm #22218Cacophony
SpectatorSounds like a pretty sweet watch. I figure that gold and human bone probably looks pretty good together.

June 18, 2007 at 9:34 pm #22597Cacophony
SpectatorBut Dominoes delivers. They said so on their commercials…
Or do they lie? Horrible vicious evil lies…?

June 19, 2007 at 8:04 am #22615Kuros
SpectatorIt actually costs a lot of money to make a pizza. Look at the cost of just a little bit of cheese at the grocery store…Then add on all the other stuff that goes in. And yes, I can walk to Dominoes from here.
June 19, 2007 at 4:02 pm #22629Fascist Flakes (Jagr)
SpectatorHow much it costs each Dominoes store to buy their goods is considerably less than what you think, Kuros. They buy it all in bulk and because they buy so much they’re able to get it at a ridiculously low cost. It probably costs them ~$1-2 to make the Pizza in goods because of the bulk amount they get each time a shipment comes in, if it is even that high.
Economics ftw.
June 21, 2007 at 1:48 am #22730Kuros
SpectatorAgain, you’d be surprised how much it costs them to make a pizza. Trackpad used to order for a pizza shop, and he knows all about it. You should ask him about it sometime.

SpectatorLAWL at the 1.6 Just Saying Hi thread… Look at it struggle to survive.
June 21, 2007 at 10:53 am #22736Cacophony
SpectatorConsidering how much they probably make though, I’m sure the profits generally outweigh the costs.
At least one would assume so since they are still in business.
June 21, 2007 at 3:35 pm #22743Kuros
SpectatorOh of course they make money. I’m just saying that it costs them a lot more than you think it would just to make it. Cheese is the primary culprit. Cheese is expensive.
June 21, 2007 at 3:56 pm #22745Hannah Montana
SpectatorWelll at the restaurant I work at.. Pizza is the chepeast food cost.. It’s cheap for them to make cause the dough costs them only like 10 cents. The cheese yes, is the most expensive but not too bad.. overall like $2 a pizza or somewhere around there.
That is just my experience anyway
June 21, 2007 at 4:15 pm #22749Fascist Flakes (Jagr)
SpectatorTrackpad worked for a small and locally owned pizza restaurant. Dominoes is a national chain and buys much much more than the pizza place that Trackpad worked for. The cost of goods for Dominoes, each location, would be considerably less than the cost of goods for a locally owned pizza restaurant.

June 22, 2007 at 8:14 am #22777Liam
SpectatorHey, if I can know everything by attending WCU where do I sign up? I’m at an engineering school and they taught me really quick I didn’t know *edited*.

Seriously though. Local restaurants making pizza vs Dominoes.
The local restaurant will pay more but generally has much better ingredients. Dominoes is a whoever can provide it cheapest. Who cares if its a little fuzzy when it gets here and is capable of producing penicillin.
June 22, 2007 at 8:57 am #22781rainefardreamer
Spectatorhey you’ll need that penicillin eventually brah
