We can debate this all day long, but the end result is that normal server admins are required to have a demo. While the Execs demo 99.9999999% of the time, they have the option to use their judgement and not record a demo.
In those rare cases, the banned person may appeal this decision to the executive council. This was done and the Executives voted on it. The results are posted.
We can debate this all day long, but the end result is the same. MasterP was well within his rights to ban without a demo and did so. Lawlrence appealed to the Exec committee. The Execs voted on it and decided to uphold the ban.
The only reason this has been turned into such a big deal is because it was a member of rQ and 90% of the people who are dragging this out are in that clan. This situation while open to debate, is pretty cut and dry as to how it was handled.
Now, lets end this issue and move on because in the end, it’s just a game.

Which is precisely why we have the option in to allow those bans to be appealed to the executive council.

Game Server Admins, ie, you, are required to produce demos.
The Executive Members can ban without a demo if they feel they have solid grounds. In that case, the banned may appeal it to the executive council, which he did. It’s being voted on.

Everything you posted short of your original post has been rude, condescending, or threatening.
Swearing at people does NOTHING. If you cannot behave and act like a mature individual then go find somewhere else to play.
And for the most part you are right. However, the CL is the one who runs each server.
They make the judgement calls on the demos in the case of appeal.
There is very, very few people who can ban without an appeal and in the most part, its not a big deal.
We cannot set up a “end-all” rule where “demos are required, no matter what!”, because then, we have tied our hands in a way that we cannot get them out.
The rules were voted in by the entire executive committee as is, and they won’t be changing anytime soon.

Its setup so admins require a demo. Again Lawlrence, the CL runs the server and their word is law. You’re already getting an appeal with the Exec council.

Also: all of my other steam games will not run as well. I want to blame the ASUS update, but it could just be me.

So you are getting an extra point on the headshots…not sure if this is something you guys control or not…and it’s not a big deal…but you know…

Awps / Auto Snipers are set to a max of 2 for all maps.
May I also suggest finding some new maps at http://www.fpsbanana.com and add a few of those instead of recycling the same maps over and over and overe?
Sure. You can also almost always catch me on IRC too. I’ll be idling #wcugaming and I’ll be idling #sourcemod too, sooooooo.
So I’ve been thinking about it. I’ll code up a menu based map vote command for the admins and maybe I’ll throw a team balancer together. I have to think about the last one.
