SpectatorSo I come back home from break and have the multitudes of updates to install on my computer because being off for a month generally makes it not update. After updating, my ASUS card decides it wants to update as well, so I let it. The only differance now is that the card is running 10 degrees hotter and 4 times as loud.
I tried to play L4D for a bit, and it constantly froze, went all black screen and shut down on my twice. (Before break I could play on “high” settings with no lag) I also tried to get on CSS and 1.6 and had similar issues. After trying to open a few other games, i see that I can no longer see ANY words. Don’t remember what I was doing prior to noticing the words went away, but to my knowledge
So in my frustration I did uninstalled steam, defraged the computer and went to bed. Wake up, reinstalled steam and the issue is still present. Screenie for you.
Also: all of my other steam games will not run as well. I want to blame the ASUS update, but it could just be me.

Get updates here: http://www.nvidia.com
Don’t get updates here: http://www.asus.com.tw
The nvidia drivers are better all around.
