sounds like you sleep with that game under your pillowI got good enough to hang with people online…The trick is to pick one char. to learn pref. a easy one…play and master him…then try the rest…When i first started playing I used Chunli…she is so hard to use…I have trouble pulling off the ultra and super combos even in training mode.

Seth’s debatable. He is seemingly overpowering just do to his move set. He’s the only one that I would debate blocking. As far as stage selection and counter-picking, I don’t know if that’s necessary either. I’ll look up what’s used normally and use that as a reference.at the same time…all this moves come from the other characters…its not like he has more than anyone else

Yea, but thats not the only issue I was trying to talk about. I’ve got a feeling that we are going to have some *edited*ing about people having to switch consoles in mid match (when this happens). Not only will it take up time, but this will throw off some people’s game (I know it will mess with my game big time in Soul Calibur IV, I’m a DPad user obviously for both Street Fighter IV and Soul Calibur IV). Just figured I’d throw that out there though, I dont wanna *edited* you guys off, just figured I’d try to make you aware of where I’m coming from.dude i dont think its gonna matter…I have the power pads for ps3

That’s what I was talking about when I said the PS3 wasn’t living up to its potential.
That’s the sort of detail it takes to prove the PS3 superior. Now they just have to get the combat style right.
Well they have utilized the parallel processing feature in the past like with Lair with its real time 300,000+ soilder battles going on on the ground while you battle in the air. They also used alot of it in MGS4 but nothing that you can obviously see to much. This is the first one you can obviously see it.

SpectatorHey mike they are updateing R2 on monday…and its one hell of an update.
Resistance 2 Patch 1.40 Details
Posted by Bryan Intihar // Community Manager, Insomniac Games
If you played Resistance: Fall of Man, you know that Insomniac continually looked for ways to improve the online experience, even several months after the game’s release. We’re taking the same approach with Resistance 2, as patch 1.40 will be available for download on Monday, January 26 (you’ll automatically receive the download prompt the next time you play the game). The patch addresses several areas, including:
Multiplayer Progression
Some people have seen their competitive and/or cooperative characters reset to level 1. For several of those cases, this patch will not only bring back all the XP, stats, and attributes that you’ve lost, but it will also add to your character profile the XP/stats/attributes that you’ve earned since those levels were reset. For example, say you were a level 20 medic and after being reset to level 1, and you earned 5,000 XP. Thanks to the patch, you’ll return a level 20 medic and that 5,000 XP will be added to your profile.
This patch will also correct some medal and trophy issues, including the “Killing Machine” trophy (if you’ve already accumulated 10,000 kills but haven’t received this trophy, it’ll pop up as soon as you download the patch).
Here are some additional patch 1.40 details:
Trophy/Medal/Ribbons
“Salute Me” trophy is not awarded until player reaches level 31 (Lieutenant)
“Berserker” trophy can be collected during non-ranked games
“Survivor” medal can be collected in cooperative games
“Sure Shot” ribbon is awarded if player has accuracy of exactly 50%
Clans
Added clan support for viewing members, sending invites, and setting up clan tags
Default clan region is now USA
Match Balancing
Unbalanced ranked games are cancelled in staging before the game is started
Parties are prevented from matchmaking into free-for-all Deathmatch games
Competitive
Loadouts can be disabled in the “Create Game” screen in competitive games
Balanced the chance of dropping large ammo pickups in competitive games
Core Control scoreboard displays “Kills”
Improved scoreboard formatting
Cooperative
Balanced the amount of XP gained by the Medic class in cooperative games
Stalker movement enabled in cooperative games
Small ammo pickups don’t give LAARK ammo in cooperative games
Weapons/Gameplay
Splash damage on Pulse Cannon can damage the player firing it
Rossmore reticule better reflects its accuracy
Fire is easier to shake off
Players cannot swap weapons in the middle of a melee attack
Miscellaneous
Localized text updates
Network message optimizations
EULA displays the correct language text for Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish and Danish
Now you may be asking, “But what about adding the option to save the second player’s character progress?” Truth be told, it required a certain PS3 firmware that wasn’t available at the time of Resistance 2’s release. We now have that firmware and are currently working to implement the feature. As soon as it’s ready, we’ll get it out to you.
If you have any questions regarding the patch, please visit and post in the MyResistance.net message boards. The Insomniacs will be there to help answer them.

I like the interface and the whole experience of the gallery. I especially like the sorting capabilities that it offers. The one thing that keeps me from switching to this vs. my apple TV to keep my photos is the syncing capability. With my apple TV I can sync directly from my laptop multiple pics at once wirelessly and with the PS I cannot and its extremely annoying having to use a flash drive every time you want to update the gallery.
Why dont you use the VLAN functionality the ps3 has…you wont have to use external devices

SpectatorThe only reason i say it sucks is beacuse for $60 you get a game that is basically like old ps1 MK3 … Each character has about 30 moves a piece. The game should have only been $40… im not even gonna mention the half *edited* detail of the enviorments and characters(they used the unreal engine for crying out loud), there are very few characters and stages. Fatalies suck as well, if you want to call them that.
All in all it is a good game because it was such a simple game to make that it would be hard to mess up

The Wii can do everything the PC can too but no one makes a big stink about it. I can go toss a word processor on it, plug a keyboard up, and type away if I wanted, or stream video, or play music, or host an FTP or webserver from it. You could load a 1TB hard drive up with movies and music and the Wii would play from it without any issues. Hell with a 3rd party add-on you could hook the Gamecube up to a computer and use it as a media center or use a custom gamedisc and stream video to it over a network. That whole concept is nothing new and isn’t an exclusive to one brand or another. The PS3 can’t do anything *useful* that the others can’t. And by useful I mean how the hell is remotely accessing a game console helpful? Compared to the PC I can’t imagine why you’d pick it to remote into at all.My point was, if the PS3 is so great a system and is the wave of the future, why isn’t it blowing us away after 2 years? If you take away MGS4 it’s barely been above par when compared to XBOX360 and PC. I’ve heard the same “it’s futureproof”, “we’ve got tons of SUPER AWESOME exclusives coming SOON”, and “it’s so much better than everything else” for almost 4 years now. The excuse around launch date was that “programming for the cell processor is hard and no one know hows yet but just wait it’ll be great in a year”. Well, we’re there. It’s about that time where you put up or shut up because right now both of your competitors have outsole you 2:1, the Wii almost 3:1. Hell the Wii sold more last November and December than the PS3 sold for the entirety of 2008. I don’t know how much longer the fanboys are willing to wait, but anyone who is waiting for a super exclusive to make the purchase *immediately* worthwhile isn’t going to wait forever. I almost bought one on release week but had a nagging feeling that there was too much hype for it to be worth getting, so far I can’t say I’m disappointed with my decision.
Also, a 50GB game really doesn’t mean anything. All that says is that it’s either got a insane amount of cinematics or really poor encoding on the video and audio. From what I hear, there’s about as many cutscenes as there are action scenes and when you take a 1GB game with nothing but action and compare it to a 50GB game with some action and tons of boring cinematics I can tell you with a fair degree of certainty which one real gamers are going to want. Back in the golden age of PC gaming there was a game called Klingon Academy, a fairly fast paced space-based (obviously) flight sim that came on a whopping 6 CDs. Most games at the time barely used 200MB but this *edited* thing took up 100% of 6 CDs. The catch is that if you removed the cinematics it was about 300MB big. The cinematics weren’t a deal breaker because you could hit that nifty ESC key and go back to venting people into space but it’s a concept I haven’t seen since in PC gaming. Most gamers really don’t care who loves who or wants to kill who, they just want to sit down and shoot the *edited* out of something and putting delays between the shooting doesn’t warrant medals or acolades. If a PC game pulled a stunt like that, I certainly wouldn’t be bragging about it.
im not even gonna go into all the things that are wrong with what you said…i dont have time for this….if you want to be stupid then so be it…and do some research before you start explaining why things are the way they are…like MGS4 and everything else…why do you argue things you dont understand and know absolutly nothing about.

From what I’m reading, it appears that the most defining factor among those commenting is the game selection.I gather in terms of performance, graphics, controllers, noise, size – there isn’t much difference?
And thank you all for your help so far.
No there really isnt a diffrence when it comes to this….the diffrences are in the the features, hell i will names some that ps3 can do, partition the HDD so you can have ps3 OS and Linux, every flavor of surround sound known to man including the new Dolby digital True HD and that HD DTS one, video, photo, and audio editing, printer drivers, Remote access, supports every kind of audio and video format there is, I can get on AIM…….omg i could go on forever but i can if peanut wants me to. but to make things short — It does anything a PC and an xbox can do…
In the long run you will be you and your wallet will be happier with the ps3….ps3 is indeed cheeper…everything that you have to buy for xbox is free on ps3. ps3 comes with a built in wireless card, blueray player, and online gameing is free, but im tired of typeing now if you want to know more let me know

The PS3 is suppsed to be “so much better” but so far I really just haven’t seen it. At the rate it’s going I imagine they won’t use the full potential until it’s about too late to make a difference in this generation of consoles, which is a shame because it’s the same mistake that Nintendo has made on every console since the SNES. You’d think they would have learned by now.You have no idea what your talking about…the ps3 is completly future proof…xbox360 is gonna have to be replaced…the big wake up call was when MGS4 came out…people were spreading roomers that it was coming to xbox… well it was a 50GB game…and after they anounced that people started making jokes like yea MGS4 for xbox360 the 20 disk set lol…Also Mitch the ps3 can do anything my PC does. Im not even talking about with linux installed….hell i go on it and write papers and print them out!!!!!

With Vista, the XBOX360 is considered a “windows media extender” and should integrate directly with Windows itself over the network. I haven’t had the chance to play with those features but I imagine they’d make the XBOX a media powerhouse when combined with itunes or peer-to-peer.PS3 does the same thing…instead of windows seeing PS3 though, it sees an unknown device but it works the same way and more.

Yes you can. Technically if you know how to transfer the OS you don’t have to bother with Microsofts proprietary harddrives since the harddrives that the Xbox uses are just a regular laptop harddrive. You could save a lot of money doing it this way but it voids the warranty that Microsoft gives the Xbox.Back to the PS3 vs. 360 thing now. Here is a list of games that I don’t think are on the PS3 that the Xbox has.
Gears of War
Gears of War 2
Halo 3
The Last Remnant
Fable II
Ninja Gaiden II
Lost Odyssey
Mass Effect
Left 4 Dead
That’s all I could think of off the top of my head. All the games mention here are worthy of checking out.
Yea well when you change the HDD in the ps3 sony still will honor it warrenty…..second of all, ps3 will blow xbox away with exculsives here real soon since there are double the exclusives coming out for ps3 this year than xbox
