How about we have the same rules for SF4 as for SC4. I dont think any charcters need to be blocked…after all it was designed for tounaments
Seth’s debatable. He is seemingly overpowering just do to his move set. He’s the only one that I would debate blocking. As far as stage selection and counter-picking, I don’t know if that’s necessary either. I’ll look up what’s used normally and use that as a reference.

sounds like you sleep with that game under your pillowI got good enough to hang with people online…The trick is to pick one char. to learn pref. a easy one…play and master him…then try the rest…When i first started playing I used Chunli…she is so hard to use…I have trouble pulling off the ultra and super combos even in training mode.
im not ganna lie i think ill be pretty bad still lol….havent had street fighter since super nintendo and i was always bad at sc4 online tooo =/
but i might not even get that game cause its short and i know i wont play that to much…its only good when you got the boyz over

I think you would get more use out of it than a typical fighter though because of the online envirornment…also you have alot of people to play wit ya…almost everyone on my buddy list has it lol…also its nothing like soulC4
Josh your crazy, Seth is broken as hell. The fact that he has THE BEST MOVES from a majority of the characters is enough to ban him.

And amount of moves doesnt matter, its the moves themselve that they already have that make a character broken.
and if you have played any Guilty Gear XX game, most of the moves in this game are not that hard to pull off.

You get used to it after awhile. The only one that’s obscenely awkward is Vega’s. And honestly, I don’t believe Seth’s attacks have decreased damage. If anything, they are equal or more powerful.

I should stfu? I dont have to have the game to know anything about it, caused I have played (a lot). And you are the ONLY person I haved talked to that has tried to justify the fact that Seth is not broken lol. Just because he doesn’t have more moves than the other characters doesnt mean anything. If he has THE BEST MOVES from other characters in the game, then you mind as well be fighting those characters back to back than Seth. And you obviously have no idea about real tournament rules for Street Fighter IV because most of the tournaments held for that game right now ban Seth and a few of them ban Gouken as well, so do some research before you tell me I dont know what Im talking about.
And I know the difference between Soul Calibur IV and Street Fighter IV because I have played both of them (extensively). I play fighting games a hell of alot more than you do Josh and you know Im right, so trust me, I know what I’m talking about. Just because Seth seems fair on the surface doesn’t mean anything, and even you have told me you dont know everything about the game. I seen some sick *edited* done with some characters on youtube, doing crazy *edited* combos with simple characters using their specials. And if you think that this doesnt leave Seth with a big advantage over the other characters, then your nuts. Think about. People have *edited*ing about fighting the CPU Seth since the game came out. And the computer doesnt do *edited* like jump canceling and other advanced techniques, so he’s a complete beast and cheap *edited*, end of discussion. lol
Well…you def. dont play more games or know more than me about them, but there are mixed feelings about the 3 boss characters. The ones that matter dont ban him. What im saying is that I have not had a problem beating any three of them with people online….As far as i am concerned they suck, except for akuma…calm down punk lol…about seth being hard as a CPU…A CPU doesnt need time for button combinations. The programmers can just make him do a move at any moment, based upon a players actions… so potenially they could do the same with any of the other characters and make them all vurtually impossible to beat if they wanted to. Its all math, timing, and programming
Yea, I know. But almost anything these computer characters can do, a human can do it better and use it in different ways. People online tend to play the characters that are easily spammable and not that good so yea, that why your kickn *edited* online, because you are actually good at the game and you dont use a character that spams alot. Are you still playing Sagat Josh?
and Im not trying to jump on your case Josh, I just hate it when people tell me Im wrong and I know Im right. But one thing, what makes u so much more knowledgable about fighting games when I have actually played more competitivly than you?

just curious. i think Im going to play C. Viper and maybe Akum since he looks so bad *edited* and he is at an ok height on the tier list.
Seth is a decent chr but he has some flaws He has the lowest stun in the game I believe its 650 for his stun meter, this is why he can be used in tournys, he does have the shuryuken and sonic booms plus ex command grabs with strechting limbs and a teleport, but a Shuryuken beats the limbs lol even from a full screen away and hadokens or other projectiles beat his limbs to, I believe grabs or supers beat his teleport and Dans Ultra beats Seths ultra from a distance, plus seth doesnt do very good dmg, I love doing Kara Raging demon with Gouki(Akuma) to beat him because he takes so much damage. Ryu,Sagat,Gouki(Akuma),Boxer(Balrog), etc… always beat seth so you can allow seth in tourneys because he stuns way to easy even faster than Gouki(Akuma) and it used to be Gouki(Akuma) that had lowest life and stun but not in street fighter 4. Umm, Seth isn’t broken and some tournaments banned him cause they don’t know that. Evo won’t ban him and they hold Interntional tournaments so it’s definitally ok to use him. Though whoever does better know how to not get hit because he does die really easy.Just watch this match
