I can’t say I didn’t miss his antics, although his first thread after the return quickly changed my mind. Quite frankly, everyone in that thread was acting childish. Some of the insults aimed at him sounded like something from middle school. If you want to demonstrate how mature you are, it’s about time you start acting like it.
Probably not, but you can’t be sure since he wasn’t polite enough to leave his steamid when he applied.

Oh, and in short, the rule on defusing through walls is that it must be in the same room. Through the inner wall on de_chateau, for example, is legal. Through the floor on mill, however, is not.
It’s not very difficult to spoof a demo if you know a little bit about what you’re doing, so unless an admin takes it, it’s not worth anything. Admins are held accountable for their actions, while even server regulars are not.

I don’t see any such ban. You’re lucky mani didn’t target someone else like it did when you put a space in the name. Also, not only is it not possible for you to ban someone by steamid using ma_ban (or so it would seem), but you shouldn’t. Demos from non-admins are not acceptable proof of cheating.
How could I ban someone with such an awesome name, especially without a demo?

Most other team balancers, including PTB (what we’ve been using on CS 1.6 for ages) do that. It’s kind of funny really…

The solution being used by the source server seems to be working very well – namely, a random vote that will not display any of the past X maps played, where X is 1/2 or 1/3 of the total maps on the server. This way, people get a choice, but people who have been playing for a few hours don’t get overridden by newcomers who tend to always pick the first thing they recognize (ZOMG DUST2!!!!11one). I never get any complaints about the setup there, except when Kuros forces the nextmap to scoutzknivez.

Foobar2000 is really lightweight, but it’s also a *edited* good player with lots of customizable crap. It should take up almost no memory or CPU besides what the codec chain requires.

Oh, and I love this “care too much” thing – it seems to be a meme among disenfranchised admins.
The issue’s been settled. Spamming just to get 50 posts is not going to get you on my good side, no matter how good an admin you are, and no matter what you’ve been promised. The post requirement should not encourage people to litter the boards. I’m letting it slide, I’ve restored half his posts (the ones that weren’t complete garbage) and I’m letting him work his way towards 50 contributing posts from there.
