SpectatorI played on another server for a bit and I realized that even if you get a good ranking, if you don’t play for a while, you start to lose your rank. I thought it was a nifty way to get ppl to keep playing once they start.

SpectatorLol there’s a plac called sugarland in Texas. Think of hot sticky sugar on the counter. Anyways, congrats. Don’t be an *edited* like my other teachers.

well, just saying, I can understand what you mean MajorMajorMajor. I’m pretty sure that if this was here back a couple years ago, I had some legendary rounds on the server where I woulda had achievements popping like popcorn. And the knife achievements feel so cheap… Seriously, 1 sniper kill gets you Sknifed? bah. I can claim at least 3 in just one of them legendary rounds.
But on the other hand, I totally have some motivation to go make good on my knife skillz. Especially in regard to that one sniper cartoon someone posted around here back in the day.
And to play some SK.
I’m on achievement 99. Now bad considering I just recently started playin css after about 6 years. Would’ve loved to poo on ur chests last night ppl.

SpectatorOh and btw. I never said we can’t stop them in the mosque. We just can’t do it using any force.
In the game of terrorists, I win so don’t even bother lulz.

SpectatorWell I take it that you’re saying obama won’t be able to find out about what’s happening and have time to step in before everything’s over. Obviously obama or his white house staff members might not get wind of the exact happenings at that very moment, but I’m sure they’ve already made eap’s about this exact situation. If they can quietly extract the cells from the mosque with the news not knowing anything about it then they’ll definitely go for that. If the media’s gotten wind already then it’s a different ball game. Even the chief of the NYPD would know how to deal with this kind of situation before it happens. However, politics is what gets in the way of things, and yes, that runs through the EMS as well. But I do still see your point. There could be some idiot jack-bauer-wannabe officer who happens to be at the right place at the wrong time. However, even with a partner, they’re not going to storm any building if they know there are armed extremists inside (even if it’s just one). Training’s going to kick in, they’re going to call for backup, seal off the area, and sit tight. Remember we’re talking about New York City. It’s a big city, with big problems already so they’re goddamned trained for big situations already. With that call happening, the higher ups are going to be informed immediately of the situation and orders will be shot back. Basically, a standoff will occur if we’re lucky and no secondary attacks were prepared (which usually happens).
As for the friendly mosque-
Anti-extremist mosque or not, the cells won’t even need permission to run into that establishment. If they got guns, then they can do whatever the f*ck they want. Heck, if a guy runs at you in a store with a broken bottle, you’re going to take off your pants a slap your tally wacker if he demands it.
Back to the standoff-
A standoff’s freakin good for us but only if we play it right. If we can safely arrest the cell(s) without going into the building (negotiations) then that’ll be really hard for the other side of this world to twist around the news and support will be lost for the terrorist group (hint: that’s how you beat them- take away their finance and support).
As for churches-
churches are different however extra precaution are kept in mind in comparison to an office building. Never assume churches & mosques are the same.

Spectatorthat’s what happens when you get a model from Thailand to work with.

wait..so if terrorists decided to blow a building up with thousands of people, they could run to a mosque and claim safe haven? I call bull*edited*. If we know a group of terrorists are in a place in america, mosque or not, we gonna send SWAT in. If i’m wrong, well then that’s just *edited*ed up.
Well you are wrong but I agree on the bull*edited*. Even if the head of the mosque is ant-extremism, the fact that there’s a mosque there creates slow train wreck. All it takes is a couple of pictures/videos and a different story to screw things up royally. Like what MP said, the news is filtered, and it gets filtered from both sides. We may know the general truth of the story on this side of the hemisphere but it’s going to be very different on the other side.

All in all, I know the ppl didn’t mean trouble like this but they should have never brought the idea up. It’s like ur friend warns u not to ask about his gf’s busted nose but the second you meet, your gf asks about the nose.

SpectatorNormally I wouldn’t mind any religious establishments being built in populated areas. However, military forces were not allowed to enter or attack any mosques in Iraq/Afghanistan. Unfortunately this rule would definitely be played on US soil and it will be abused if any more cells of that religion decide to attack NYC again. Even if you convinced leaders of major terrorists groups to vow not to apply this rule (which is technically impossible according to the Mini-Manual a la The Art of War), remember that the groups are consisted of cells, and if any of those cells don’t like it, they’ll always break off & join another congregation of cells who’ll have the cajones to pull the job off.
Again, if we still say “f*ck it!” and storm the mosque in NYC after the city has been attacked, that’s basically pouring gasoline into the fire from multiple angles. Not only is that political suicide but you’re creating even more propaganda for the terrorists to gain support. To help explain the twisting of this kind of news, here’s a little joke:
Two boys are playing hockey on the street in Boston’s Southie when one is attacker by a rabid Rottweiler. Thinking quickly, the other boy takes his stick and wedges it down the dog’s collar and twists, breaking the dog’s neck. A reporter who is strolling by sees the incident and rushes over to the boy. “Young Sox Fan Saves Friend from Vicious Animal,” he starts writing in his notebook.
“But I’m not a Sox fan,” the little hero replied.
“Sorry, since we are in Boston, I just assumed you were,” said the reporter.
“I’m a Yankees fan,” the child responded.
The reporter turned the page in his notebook and wrote “Little *edited* from New York Kills Beloved Family Pet.”

The virus could be maxing out your CPU and reporting a false load to task manager. Happens all the time with rootkits.
Boot to a mobile linux OS (Ubuntu or Knoppix) and see if you still have the problem once the OS is up and running.
