I dunno man, turn the g5 down to 400 dpi, and a pretty low in game sens, and then load up source, and try and move your arm as fast as possible over a large distance I’m betting you will get tracking problems, the g5 is pretty notorious for it. At mid to high sensitivities the g5 is fine, but it ain’t good for low sensitivity. I attached a demo below, check it out I’m guessing those are the problems you are having.

hmm mx300, mx500, mx510, mx518, Microsoft IE 3.0 or 1.1, Razer Deathadder, Razer Diamondback, A4tech X7. I use the Razer Deathadder, it’s nice. Get done what I want done. The Microsoft IE 3.0 is pretty rad too, my friend buddha uses the one I gave a couple months ago, he does pretty well it, winning a tournament and all :) Those are rather cheap too, about 30 bucks, you can get one of those bundled with a really fly *edited* mousepad too for a bit more. Funny thing about the Microsoft IE 3.0 is that is has something like a 125 polling rate and rather low dpi, yet it *edited*ing rocks, it is next to impossible to find tracking problems with it. If you like the big feeling of the g5 you will really like the IE 3.0. I definitely prefer the latter over the g5. The Deathadder feels much the same just a bit smaller.

Yeah that sounds like you are having tracking problems on your mouse, before when you used acceleration I imagine you didn’t have to move the mouse as fast as you do now with the mousefix. Hmmm go into mspaint and try it, set it on a low dpi and record your movements back an forth in the same pattern to see if you are doing straight lines, if it is *edited*ing up then it is probly the mouse you are using.

Specifically what mouse are you using, a g5 or any other lazor mouse for that matter can have tracking problems that cause what you are specifically describing when moving the mouse really fast. In fact when I used to use the g5 I experienced exactly what you are describing after I became a low sensitivity user. hmmmm, try the two files I attached, one is to measure the polling rate of your mouse, the higher the better, 1000 is the most you can get with a usb port, if you are getting lower than that and using a laser mouse then you are having tracking problems, other than the new blue logitech g5 i don’t know of any lasor mouses that get 1000 polling rate, the other program over clocks your usb port to possibly a 1000 hz there if your mouse can handle it. If all else fails then l I also attached the mousefix zip folder again so you can undo it if you don’t like it. It takes some getting used to, it ain’t meant to be something that immediately improves your game, but rather make it your accuracy more consistent as you get used to it. It is *edited* hard to find a pro out there that doesn’t use it. Not saying it will make you as good as them, just that they use it for a reason, because mouse acceleration can *edited* your game up. If you want to uninstall it you can with the cplmousefix.rar i attached below.

Also it may be as freeman said, you might be having problems with whatever you use as your mousepad. Granted I think it might have something to do with what I said above as you mentioned it starting after you installed the mousefix. Hope this helps.

Auto shotty sniped in the head from one end of de_train to the other. It rarely happens, like maybe once every couple months, but it prolly makes me cus and punch my monitor and bounce it off the wall more than anything.

He can only send me monopoly money(whatever the hell they use up there in the wastelands). Anyways I found my stash of Ramen, offer is still up. Oh and I cracked teh ruckus through shenanigans and rollbacks, consequently my iPod is now full, if you would like to know how, hit me up on aim at nh27021.

Something about r_drawviewmodel, doesn’t work unless sv_cheats are on, I thought I would be able to go into a private game and measure recoil with it and sv_showimpacts 1 and something else but it didn’t do anything except take my onscreen gun model off, too much of a lazy *edited* to take it out.

The points were that way because it is was a reflection of your skill versus other players skill. KDR does not accurately reflect that. A person can bait, have a great KDR, lotsa points from scavenge kills, but not really be that great of a player. People who can stay in the top ten while still getting busted by the 25 pops may actually deserve it. Will a cap of 10 points actually reflect this fact?

Hmmm, if you really want to look at skill check your kdr versus other people, how many times they have killed you, and how many times you have been killed by them. Whatever anomalous varience between players us explained by playing styles.

A very good argument has already been made against this point. New players come into the server, they see they can get points and status kind of quickly, so they stay. You ranking is high enough that it really isn’t affected by it too much. In fact, if we institute something like a 50-90 kill probationary period I think it would have the same effect that removing stat viewing did, it would cease to attract new players.

Otherwise, what the hell do you want done, yeah, you got your *edited* skinned, but take it like this, consider him as a Boss or something if you were playing another game, maybe an elite from wow or something. I’m not flaming or *edited*ing at you. You blame for how good you do in this game.

Hahhaah blg is not a pro by any stretch. Plays CAL-O, from what I hear flakes and his team worked em over pretty hard. Looking at the stats he has a horrible record against me 4-14. Seems like he plays with the awp too much and he suffers with rifles as a result. Maybe adjust habits so you dont get in positions to get awped. It happens to me so rarely anymore that I don’t actually cuss or punch the monitor when it happens. That is probably why I don’t get killed by him, I try and watch the angles where I can easily get awped at. Just practice it till it is habit and you wont get frustrated by it as much. I used not have that attitude at all and hated the guns, but thinking about it now, flakes is right about what he said a while back about awps, they can be dealt with, and trying to do so will make you a better player. *edited*ing won’t on the other hand.

My friend WIB Blake thought he was blowing a foghorn at some drug dealers in the ghetto, was actually a cop car, he didnt have his glasses on, I thought the cop car was off and *edited* so I tried to run for it. We all got searched and my car got practically taken apart during inspection, layed on the ground in the cold for 1 and half hours in the middle of the winston salem ghetto at 2 am. Was going 85 in 20 trying to get away, he gave me five over after an hour of *edited*ing us out. They had *edited*ing guns pointed at us and *edited*, hands on the dash and everything, my friend laughed and got cussed out so bad. We heard their chat about it, they thought it was pretty *edited* funny too.

It removes mouse acceleration from windows all together. I posted it in the Tips thread on the source forum. Handy for making consistent turns to the enemy. Often times when you turn towards a person if you move the mouse too fast the acceleration inherent in movement will make your crosshair zoom past them. The mouse fix will enable you to make concise and consistent 180, 90 , etc. degree turns to whever with out having to adjust for missing the enemy.
