SpectatorNice NuRayz, you figured out the ABC and CBS love asking vague questions and making republicans look stupid.
I would say I’m not surprised but I figured you wouldn’t have figured that out.

The only vague question that stood out to me in that clip was the Bush doctrine one. She says a lot of stupid things, period. Does this mean that all republicans are stupid? No. Does this mean that there aren’t equally stupid democrats? No. However, if you can’t admit her ineptitude at answering questions on her feet then you’re clearly biased. Also ABC and CBS are no where near as biased as Fox.
inb4 “she could answer questions if she had a teleprompter with her 24/7”
Who cares. This isn’t a thread about Obama’s failures.

She also said alot of very smart things too. You won’t find any sort of balance or unbiased representation from a TPM video. Their own website states they’re left wing.
I mean if you want I can find a video of Obama making a complete idiot out of himself, sometimes even with a teleprompter, but that wouldn’t change your opinion that Palin is retarded and Obama is a genius on roids.

Actually I think Obama just makes a lot of empty promises, but sorry to ruin your idea that anyone who talks bad about republicans is an Obama loving democrat.

SpectatorNot everyone, just most of the ones on TV.
They are financially invested in the democrat party and will do their part in making the masses think any opposing group is retarded and racist/bigots. Granted Fox is the same way but 1 station is a far cry from the 5 with heavy liberal leanings, dispite the fact that Fox has the highest percentage of trust and lowest percentage of distrust of all the major stations. And the largest audience. And the only one to have a net gain of viewer trust in 2009.

SpectatorThanks MP, I did realize that they were biassed but biassed news media destroying and “surprising” a public figure running for the second highest seat in the land is still hilarious
Especially when it’s a public figure like sarah palin who takes pride with comments like:Quote:
“The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s ‘death panel’ so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their ‘level of productivity in society,’ whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.” –-Sarah Palin, in a message posted on Facebook about Obama’s health care plan, Aug. 7, 2009
“We believe that the best of America is not all in Washington, D.C. … We believe that the best of America is in these small towns that we get to visit, and in these wonderful little pockets of what I call the real America, being here with all of you hard working very patriotic, um, very, um, pro-America areas of this great nation.” –Sarah Palin, speaking at a fundraiser in Greensoboro, N.C., Oct. 16, 2008
“I think on a national level your Department of Law there in the White House would look at some of the things that we’ve been charged with and automatically throw them out.” –Sarah Palin, referring to a department that does not exist while attempting to explain why as president she wouldn’t be subjected to the same ethics investigations that compelled her to resign as governor of Alaska, ABC News interview, July 7, 2009
also here’s your beloved Fox News on Sarah Palin. They don’t call her a moron directly, but do bring to attention her lack of knowledge pertaining to the continents. Direct comment went something like “How could they end up with a running mate who doesn’t know Africa is a continent?” “Gaps in her knowledge.” Donno about you, but that screams retardation to me.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtxDs3Rk_vE&feature=related
btw, if the term retard offends anyone, feel free to replace with the word “special person”. Republicans and democrats alike can agree Sarah Palin is indeed special

You do realize that Fox has more viewers than their top 3 competitor channels combined, right? Call it a joke all you want, they’re doing something right and if they lied about the news people wouldn’t watch.
I mean if they’re such a joke why do 49% of Americans trust them compared with CNN’s 39%. I won’t even waste my time looking up ABC/CBS/NBC/MSNBC’s trust ratings…

SpectatorMayhaps you should post all of that poll.
Also this made me lol,
“A generation ago you would have expected Americans to place their trust in the most neutral and unbiased conveyors of news,” said Dean Debnam, President of Public Policy Polling. “But the media landscape has really changed and now they’re turning more toward the outlets that tell them what they want to hear.”
February 12, 2010 at 10:26 pm #97218lawlrence

That link is broken btw…
I like how when polls are in favor of a republican or right-leaning ideal the poll is biased in some way or the people are too stupid to realize they’re wrong yet when a democrat or left-leaning ideal is favored by a poll it’s always considered 100% on the mark. Go look at “reviews” of polls, you’ll see that trend occurs most of the time.

SpectatorHere the link is in this article, http://rawstory.com/2010/01/poll-fox-trusted-news/
I love how whenever anything republican is criticized you try change the focus to how liberals are bad too. That is besides the point. This is not a thread about how liberals are bad. Stop trying to turn this into a thread about how liberals are bad. Go make a new thread on how liberals are bad.
Just because some other politician or poll is equally stupid/biased doesn’t mean we should ignore the one in front of us. I get that it’s convenient for both sides to redirect attention to the other whenever they do something stupid, but it just makes them look worse in the long run. And both sides definitely do it, just look at this thread. The only thing this accomplishes is hiding the mistakes of people who lead out country from the public, which is a *edited*ty thing to do out of contempt for some stereotype of the “opposing” party.

In the context of the article you posted, this statement applies to democrats just as much as republicans. It is a general bash to say that democrats trust MSNBC and republicans trust Fox. This generic flame negates your argument as it both helps and hurts your position equally, leaving you back in the same position from which you started.
GG next?

Care to elaborate on what my position is and how that hurts it? Last two times you’ve guessed on my position you’ve been wrong.

You came up with that article and quoted from it, not me. I got the facts of the poll from a different source.
Commentary by the pollsters is typically used to try to explain why they didn’t get the results they wanted.

So now we have to hold a VP canidate(BTW NO PLANE FOR HER LOLOL; SHE LOST) who actively agreed to be interviewed, AND refused to prepare, to the same standards as the president who kicked newspapers off his plane for a reason I don’t care about because it’s HIS (temporary) plane? lol?
I would think the President has a little more power and a standard just a wee bit higher than the moose killer from alaska.

I, a not so typical, yet still pretty liberal Liberal, believe all of the GOP are full of *edited*.

To conclude, our government is run by two parties full of *edited*, voted in by the people that apparently don’t know *edited* about *edited*.

He did it when he was still a candidate.
So yeah, let’s hold candidates from both parties to the same standards, shall we? McCain didn’t kick anyone off his plane, including the vast array of newspapers that officially endorsed his competitor.
And yes, neither set of candidates in the last running were any good. It should have been Hillary versus Thompson.

Why would that matter? 47% of respondants voted for Obama and 46% for McCain. That’s pretty balanced as far as voters go.
Also worth mentioning is that 40% of Americans identify themselves as conservative whereas 21% as liberals. This poll, oddly enough, reflects that.
