omg…yes speaking of which i have a demo of..or more like a video…the graphics are so good i swear it goes in and out of looking real if you know what i mean…that will be a bad *edited* game…im not sure about the release date..i know its way out there

that game made me buy a ps2 when it 1st came out…
havent been keeping up with consul gaming much since i’v been at western b/c the internet “WAS” super uber kick *edited*, and nothing could beat it.. now i may go back….

raytracing is the next level of lighting and occlusion. most platforms and games use shortcuts to dodge actually doing everything you see that way, but when it does come out, you’re talking REAL shadows and real light effects and all that shat. right now they essentially paint a black blob below the item blocking sunlight. raytracing also would accomplish shadowing on things walking through shadows. That is not very common at the moment.
that is the tidbit i know about raytracing, hope it helps

that seems doable…they will do it when developers get more familier with both systems hardware

Basically, the recent international launches for the PS3 were a bust.
My opinion on consoles: They are closing in on becoming full-fledged PCs with every generation. Performance is losing hold as a deciding factor in a console’s success. Instead, successful consoles will be the ones that include the most features for the least money, and which have the best titles (excluding the Wii, which is a “next-gen” console anomaly thanks to its ease of use and innovative play).
I believe the Wii is competing much more closely with the 360 than the PS3 is. How it unfolds for this year will rest on which console offers the best games. (Halo 3 is surely going to help)

omg you guys they just had an update for the ps3…you can now see all ps3 around the world…it even lables my dot on the map…that is so cool….there is alot more than i thought there were..and these are the systems that have installed this new program so there is alot more than it shows…that is so cool….believe it or not…it looks like there are more ps3s in europe than in the united states even though both are covered in random collections of dots around the big cities like new york city, los angelas, miami…when i look at my dot..there arnt as many in nc for some reason as apposed to bordering states…im sorry i just think its cool lol
i said it in another forum post but UT07 is now unreal tournament 3 and comes out 9/3/07 according to this eb games release date print out…and it comes out for all systems
I have some bad news Unreal tournament has been pushed back again…. its now january 1st 2008… i guess this is why they arnt calling it UT2007 instead UT3 cause its coming out in 08 lol
If any one expects me to take their word on how great the PS3 is, I suggest they don’t claim that Halo 3 is going non-exclusive. You’ll only look like a desperate fan boy living in your own little dream world. I know there’s nothing I can do to change that, so I’m not even going to try.
However, I will say this. Regardless of whether or not you can PROVE, or find ANY sources that Halo 3 will port to the PS3, I will buy every one who has posted in this thread so far a copy.
So go on… cite your sources.
lol either way halo 3 is going to be an awesome game and the beta is coming out soon and i will be glad that i am at home when that happens so i know my internet will be consistent. But the beta is going to be amazing and i hope many of you will be participating in it so we have some western games.
i have a Nintendo does that count for something? ….
