I love my ps3 and this thread is for anyone who wants to talk about, has questions or to make a statment about the ps3 in all its glory…… HAIL PS3!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well they have good graphics…..but i dont like them. But i do have to say that Resistance was very fun.
anybody who doesnt like the ps3 either hasnt played with it or they bought and xbox and say the ps3 sucks because it makes them feel better. and dont give me that its too expensive cause its not its actually very cheap for what you get…check your facts
well playstation has had a reputation for having like 5000 games but not many of them are good….and halo 3 is not coming out to ps3….nice try though. Also the playstation controller is possibly the worst controller ever for FPS. Even a gamecube controller is better fro fps then ps3 controller. xbox controller is ergonomic…..the ps3 is exactly the same as ps2 shape wize. So its a matter of games……graphics do not make something better…..just better looking. No one plays cs 1.6 bec it look amazing do they?…..so whipedy doo if it looks better. So if your going to have an argument that it is better bec it look better…..bec it costs more. So please try to make an arguemt that it is better bec it looks better…….more ppl will disagree then agree.
Also the best selling system is the Wii……and it has the worst graphics of all three. So graphics are not everything…
sorry buddy check again halo 3 is gonna be on the ps3 sorry dude….and the xbox could never play the games ps3 could…plain and simple….just compare hardware….9processors versus 3 ummm enough said…the more the processors to take the load off the core, the better the overall game they can push on the main processor…also the xbox only had one game halo…i did my research and iv played with the xbox…im not impressed…it lacks several features the ps3 offers…by the way ps3 is making an extention that is comparible to wii to get the missing style of game play that the wii has…. now dont get me wrong the xbox and wii are great but i have higher expectations…
ps3 was ment for ultimate gamers with high expectations for a high price and people with hd tvs and xbox was ment for moderate gaming there the midrange…and the wii was ment for kids and low income families…they all fit in the market somewhere
also i think 1.6 sucks…its to primitive and simple
also microsoft is a money hungry machine. They are goign to milk halo for all it is worth and seeing is how microsoft is only a pc and xbox type of company…..why would halo be on ps3? it is their franchise game…..so i cant wait till halo 3 comes out and you get to stare at the ground wishing that it was coming out on the ps3. Also i checked and there is no reliable source at all that say ps3 will be on 360. Not like being on one would make you better anyway hahah that controller is pitiful for fps. If halo did come out for 360 ppl playing with that controller would look like a 3 legged cat compared to everyone playing on a 360.

yea but check out the market standings they have to sell 3 and a half wiis to make up for the loss in money in systems, games and asseoryies….xbox and ps3 are winning….xbox is beating the ps3 only because the xbox has been out for a year longer than the ps3

yea it is…they are mirroring almost everything for both systems this go around….iv looked at the game list it comes out 7/10/07 for both systems

no it doesnt not…that was a home made graph…iv got real published documentation from IEEE … if you dont believe me i will show you and anyone else who believes in this fairy tail…plus the xbox and ps3 use diffrent type of ram…there is no comparison….plus even if it were true ram isnt a *edited* thing…you know what i will post what it really does have
hold on i just looked at those numbers on those home made graphs…what you talking about 276 gigabits of bandwidth…wtf is that…that makes no *edited* sense…that is made up…plus they cannot be measured on ram…they run on tottaly diffrent and unique setups for how the data is distributed and processed…they are made up diffrently from oneantother…plus that is not the purpose of ram in the first place

anyways, i think everyone should take the advice from someone with a sugger daddy which has bought them both consuls, this way it limits the bias twards the one “you” have. and even then its still an opinion. so my opinion is PC > (xbox + ps3 + mac)^2

yea but all the other things are nessisay like the blue ray player if you do have a hd tv…cause im sure if everyone had a hd tv and a hd dvd or blue ray player they would buy the movies

i appriciate it…thats what i was trying to find…and no im not a sony fan boy….i had an xbox and played it most of the time because it was better then the ps2 slightly…..and i soly stick to that way of gameing….i got the ps3 because it was overall the better system…it just sucks xbox360 came out a year before ps3 did so the supply of games is low…but no matter…i can just as easily play ps2 and ps1 games on it
also if anyone is interested go to http://www.IEEE.org to see published documentation done by a group of engineeers to get the reall answers…they have charts and graphs of every little thing and they talk about how the data is processed and distrubuted step by step in each system….in the study there they found that both the systems tests tested equally except for the fact that the ps3 because of the cell engine called the PPE asks the other 8cells called SPEs to do calculations for the ppe… this set up was designed to take the load off the main processor so they could push a bigger bader game…now the xbox has vurtualy the same set up in a diffrent form…except it has 3 processors instead of 9…so not for a couple of years you may not see the diffrence…but it is there…and not to mention above…its not that i am a sony fan boy…its because i thought it was a better investment

any usb headset works with it…or blue tooth if you had one
If I want HD movies, I’ll wait until there’s a decent HD-DVD/Blu-ray combo burner for PCs and spend my money on that, not play it through a game console.
I will admit the PS3 has some wicked sick number-crunching abilities, but I won’t really be impressed until I see a game that does realtime raytracing.
