isnt masterp source council leader? i never see a “masterp” in 1.6 server. ive said on several posts.. 1 custom map at a time maybe?

Keep in mind that most of us watched as the server died practically overnight last time. Most of you weren’t around for that and don’t know how it happened. If you want to repeat the same mistakes that were made last time feel free but keep in mind that some people who are trying to change the now successful server were also leaders when it collapsed.
You know what works, change it at your own peril.
the server died cause i left it. everyone was heartbroken and felt no need to play anymore. you have to understand too that source is a completely different game. It is a first person shooter yes but it was targeted at a broader population, and the game play compared is different within itself. i dont know anything factually but i would assume there are millions more ppl who play source than 1.6. its just how things are shifting. everyone wants the graphics and flashy shiny tings. some might play it because they actually can kill stuff. i dont know. but the way the server has its up and downs now i dont know if we should stop changing or start

I played source 3 years ago and I liked it a lot because server reg was good on almost every server, the guns and mods flowed better, but I LOVE 1.sex because of the community.
masterp though you know how run A server, does not mean you know how to run THIS server. from what i know, we try to be different and stand out from other servers. most of what i’ve seen you do is attempt to make us just like other servers which are already populated and big. majorX3 is trying to make this server what the PEOPLE want, not what seems to have worked in the past. he doesn’t strive for this server to be like others, he strives to be better.
and i’ve seen this server and community through all the same stuff you have masterp

MasterP is NOT trying to run THIS server. Heck the only thing he said in this thread was we used to have a bunch of terrible custom maps on the 1.6 server and that he has been a successful CSS council leader without playing the game all the time.
he said he is telling us that because even though he doesn’t play on a server, he can still populate and run it. since we are talking about 1.6 here, obviously he means that he knows how to run a 1.6 server.
i play onthe server alot and i sure as hell don’t know how to run it well by myself. but thats just it. it doesn’t matter if you can run a server yourself, this server is run by a community.
