Adam FaulknerParticipantI will agree the food at WCU was bad, but the food outside of cullowhee was the bomb. I dont know if it was because WCU’s food was so bad that everything tasted better, but going out was the bomb.
I will honestly say that I really enjoyed my stay at WCU when i was a student, and it was easy for me to get around the food problem with cookouts almost every week and on the weekends i was always exploring if i had some cash. Or ordering pizza from the locals and playing cs… i played alot of counter strike during my stay at wcu.
If i could I would do it all over again if i could only find a need for it in my life. Having that said I got every tool i needed to be a Software developer on mass enterprise level applications, simple networking and systems admin. I have no certifications but I do have a huge portfolio of all the stuff i have accomplished at WCU and on my free time (including the gaming club). Guys I was hired before I even left WCU (got the phone call at a LAN during setup) , and if my job didn’t work out today i wouldn’t have a hard struggle finding another.

Participantbahahaha… a chance to bash WCU? yay. so, lemme see, none o your voting options appeal to me.
How do I feel about WCU? It has its great points and its horrors. More great points than horrors, but meh.
Will I stay there for my undergrad studies? I assume that’s a rhetorical question. But seriously, no.
3rd question: rainbow trout…
Lemme see. From the standpoint of teachers and students and social stuff, WCU is great, awesome, fantastic, and I mean it. The majors, there’s several that are fantastic, and there’s a few that they should offer a disclaimer with. *cough*BSEEBSSE*cough*. Administratively… yeah. I better keep my mouth shut in the interests of the Club’s future (since I’m on your forums). Food, housing, commerce, etc.: It was worth the walk to Wal-Mart (miles of walking, for those of you that ain’t locals) for everything but housing, and housing… I dunno if there is any good answer to that. The one perk I’ll credit them for is around 2-3am the dorm room network bandwidth is phenomenal.

on other thoughts, you was able to actually save up? dood, i was working and obsessively not spending, and my savings account was decaying faster than a snowman on the vegas strip at 2pm on a blazin summer day…

in any case, i think that emphasizes my point even more
(walking was still better than on-campus shopping) -
