Def add contra to the list…my only suggestion would be to mix up the rotation of 5-6 maps each time through…

Instead of just a 24/7 de_dust2 sauce server, what about a 24/7 dust2/office…server??
And maybe a 24/7 2fort or orange_x server for TF2??

Maps like Strata will empty the server in the night time because they are too big for small numbers to enjoy…season is pushing it at night as well…
A BIGGER rotation than we already has!??!?! BAHAHA, atm it cannot fill the server, so a smaller, concise server full of server boosters is what we need right now, when the pop goes back up, THEN we can expand to a class 24/7 havana server…
There are at least two other threads like this…gg on posting, but just bump the other threads first pl0x…

Unfortunately, as many of you know, WCU’s CS:S server is often empty.
The main reason for this, I believe, is because the map rotation does contain some maps that are less popular with most people, and the RTV function is often unavailable to the players unless a certain player count is met. To populate the server, however, we often need to shift the maps from one like, sk_3 to de_dust2 or cs_office. But since we can’t meet the numbers to actually initiate a map change to begin with, we can’t go about increasing the numbers of the server.
Now, I’m sure that some are now considering lowering the required playercount for RTV to function. This may be a good idea, but it also means that the players who do RTV are limited to a random selection of maps that the server generates. Often, none of these maps may be ones that they would like to play, or ones that would help draw more people to the server.
So, I present this proposition in hopes that the Executives of this server will consider allowing administrators to change maps as well.
I’ll provide only one additional argument for the proposal: trust.
If we trust our administrators to make not abuse their slaying, slapping, and banning powers, why not give them the ability to change maps?
Of course, I doubt that this is the reason why WCU’s admins cannot change maps. That does not, however, mean that we should stagnate. I am generalizing, but I do believe that we are one of the few servers out there that does not possess administrators who can perform said action.

But seriously, the only thing that has slowed my wcu playing time has been the amount of peeps not in there…I will heavily idle the server here in another week…
So I take it no new news on the server? I assume more will happen once school starts up again…
We can has updatez? Has anything new happened as far as this server business is concerned?? Do we have a timetable for when I should be getting an erection thinking about playing in a wcu server again?

I meant fedex, not HP…and I believe it was insured for its proper value…but I may have found it…
I think the post office/fedex lost my box that had my lappy in it to send to HP for repair…HP/fedex better be prepared to reimburse the *edited* out of me…

You can say w/e you want about me being “new” or “not part of the club” or “some *insert derogatory term here*” or whatever the *edited* you want, but I know how people should act on a message board. Have some respect for each other and if you don’t, at least keep it to yourself. I dislike some people here in my short 8 months or so of playing on the server, but that’s my business, everyone doesn’t need to know.

The idea should be implemented, it can only help the server…and also drop the rtv to like 40% when there are less than 8 people in the server…
