It’s amazing how little news coverage this is getting.
It’s really hard to understand why no one is doing any in depth coverage of Sony’s Firesale ’11.

I hope they don’t plan on selling it for $60 because you can get the Wii version for $20 on Amazon. Upscaled graphics and 3D aren’t worth $40.
I agree about the price, they are including two new gametypes which may or may not be a big addition. I still want it nao.
No.. there was winamp remote which allowed you to stream music from your own PC. It was also kinda buggy. This one is hosted by google and it’s high speed internet connection.
I keep saying I will buy a desktop and keep putting it off.. one day I will come here and say “hey guys.. which graphics card” and that day the forums still better be up.

I left my computer uploading music for the past two days…
It looks like it’s not counting all my files.. because it’s going in order of artist and it skipped some albums. Can’t be sure though because it’s still far from done.
Maximum of 20,000 songs – No total size limit! (that I’ve seen)
Still – this is really awesome.

I got my invite today! I didn’t do any shenanigans like go to best buy and register with xoom either.. although I was about to try it.
I used to put a small book or a pen or something under the front of my laptop to allow more air to get under it. This used to make a big difference (I haven’t played a lot of games in a while). the pads on the bottom of the laptop came off making it flush with the table. Also don’t run it on a glass table.. glass is an insulator that seems to make it a lot hotter.
There are some cheap laptop cooling pads.. I wouldn’t recommend one of these… maybe a more expensive one would work.. I got a targus and it didn’t seem to do much of anything.
I read somewhere you can get access to google music if you go into a bestbuy and sign in with your google id on a moto xoom display model…
Google is giving priority to xoom owners.

I don’t even know. I just found out about this .. I will have to check when I get home. I know PSN stored the CC info if you elected it to do that, but I’m not sure if it displays all the digits if you tried looking it up.

Username /passwords were compromised. This would have allowed for account hijacking. Everything needed to be taken down.
Well it does help that google isn’t currently charging for it to call LAN lines… unlike skype and vonage, but I agree it needs a standalone program.
Also Microsoft just bought skype today as an interesting coincidence.

yeah screw that .. I don’t have a mac (which is a big part of it).. and I hate them a lot more than sony
You also have to do something similar on the android app store however android apps can be installed without the market. In fact, I could just as easily put it on amazon.. not sure how they work out their monies atm. I will have to do more research
I don’t know why I defended them .. you’re probably right. Just makes me sick …
I’ll have to figure out something else to do with my time.. I have been wanting to get into android development
