I can set this up when I do the TF2s this weekend. Since the configs are almost identical, maybe try both?
That’d be great.
Well the thing is I’d like to only do one for 2 reasons:
1. It’d be easier for us to check if update is needed regularly
2. I’d like to get as many people on a wcu server as possible .. AKA not fragment our visitors.
What if we just had a 24/7 dust and office server (2 Map rotation?)

SpectatorHere is some more info I’ve found. The writer got some new info from someone at valve.
Here’s some new info I gleaned from the article:
- One thing it talks about that I haven’t seen anywhere else is an ELO (Chess style) skill ranking system that matches up people of similar skill level.
- They made some changes to de_dust to make more people play it.
- If I read correctly, the character skins set depends on the map to make it easier to distinguish between friend or foe.. I don’t think I’ve ever had this problem in css though.
- Casual mode: player has unlimited monies to buy whatever you want (16k Serverrrrrs made easy)

I too, have noticed this same trend.

SpectatorI have a wireless kb for ps3 already.. I guess I’ll need to get a mouse. Maybe there will be an official option by the time the game comes out.
Lemm
Spectatoron the steam store page it says that there is a 5 activation limit

Do the Steam versions of those game do that? I can’t imagine Valve tolerating it.
I know at least Far Cry 2 does it on steam.
Lemm
SpectatorYeah I read that a few days ago.
I agree with valve.
One thing that I wish valve would put it’s foot down on though is games restricting the number of times you can install them (only a few do this). Usually you get at least 5 installations, but still I’m not going to let anyone use my steam account so don’t try to penalize me for reformatting my hard drive.
Lemm
SpectatorI haz mk9. I don’t play it that much though.

Spectatordub trip step beat
Lemm
SpectatorI’ve suggested making an app before; however:
1. The mobile page currently works well.
2. I believe anything better would require the developer to have direct access to the forum db.
Lemm
SpectatorYeah i wasn’t quite sure what was going on in Shadows of the Empire.
Lemm
SpectatorI’m always on .. waiting. posting.
Lemm
SpectatorIt does look awesome.

1) lol @ people thinking CS:GO will be good. I think it will be like CZ.
CZ.. are you kidding me?
This one at least boasts better graphics and a number of new gametypes. CZ was more like a single player expansion.

I understand the reasoning behind the name change but frankly I prefer the old name as well, plus we have over 6 years of advertising with said name. While i was up last night thinking of adevertisment stuff and Whee Game just doesnt say anything, You dont know its a club, You dont know where it is, and you frankly dont know what its purpose is. Im sure there some sort of grandfather mandate we could use, and further more state how this name change hurts our presence on campus and our ability to advertise outside of campus.
Very well said.
Lemm
SpectatorSomeone would have to fight it though.
Lemm
SpectatorAlso make sure you give plenty of notice…
I think it would make the gaming experience a lot better for those who had them.
Lemm
SpectatorI like him.

SpectatorNew Club Name.

SpectatorJust pre-ordered the PS3 Hardened edition.. it comes with a year free of CoD Elite which includes all DLC
PS3 Game ($60 value)
CoD Elite Premium for year ($50)
In-game extras, xp boost, book
PS3 Hardened Edition $100
So I save $10 and get all the dlc crap…
Also if you buy all the dlc throughout the year (no elite premium membership) it costs $60
Lemm
SpectatorYeah it looks pretty awesome..
And it’s Kanye tomorrow night.
Lemm
SpectatorUgh.. I’m still trying to save money for a big tv.
What to DOOOOO?
I wonder when the game will come out in 2012.
Also, I google “SharePoint 2010” so much that every time I try to type 2012 I type 2010 instead.

GF 3.0 is one of the leading causes of HDD clutter.
You can pick up a decent gaming laptop for under $1000. If desktops aren’t an option that’s probably the better route to go.
I’ll have to look into that..
What do you think the requirements will be for the new game?
Greater than Left 4 Dead 2?
About the same as L4D2? <—- My guess.
About the same as TF2?
Lemm
SpectatorI’d like to get this for PC obviously but I don’t know that I will have a good enough computer to play it. Even if I bought a desktop before it comes out, I really don’t have a place to put it. GF 3.0 takes up a lot of HDD (apt space).
My poor 4 year old laptop still has to run low-end configs for CSS (DX LEVEL 8.1 REPRESENT!). It gets over 100 fps for the first 10 minutes or until the server gets over 15 people and then it really starts to overheat. Laptop fan isn’t worth a *edited* but it keeps it off the table which does seem to help.
Maybe I should just be like DICEY and get a gaming laptop?
Lemm
Spectatorwell those pics are epic.. I miss legos

SpectatorAccording to this article PS3 Gamers will be able to play with Keyboard / Mouse or PS Move.
http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/26/counter-strike-global-offensive-to-have-cross-play-for-ps3-pc/
I’m psyched. I thought they might wait until next gen came out to release it on consoles.. it’s about time they stop calling ps3 / xbox next gen consoles. Also the article states the game won’t be coming to XBOX.
Lemm
SpectatorNEW TRAILER!
http://store.steampowered.com/app/1800/
Cross-platform compatibility! Next-gen consoles and MAC. (Which means ps4 and mac because Microsoft won’t allow Steam integration).
New weapons, New maps.. still looks a lot like source though.

You bought the game as a whole, not the game as the retailer thinks it should be sold.
This. We do not live in a caveat emptor society.
