iFailNot really, the XBL problem was port filtering. This will be harder to get fixed which is why I keep trying to get people to start the process.

SpectatorA lan at the beginning of the year would be a great lauch, posibly bring some new faces especially incoming freshman into the gaming club.
As for the whole ppl now hearing thing I think that was just an issue of them being to involved in the games they were playing to even bother to listen to an announcement.

SpectatorA Console Mini LAN would be great i would definitely be able to bring my usual TV 360 and games. I also now have a car and can help others transport their stuff if that is an issue.

SpectatorAt the beginning of the year is busy, busy. What with books and classes just starting and all that jazz. But, if we can find a spot for it within the first few weeks that’d be pretty cool (But at least after the first week as passed).
Anyone is Central think they can nab the multipurpose room again? If not, we can try to manage something elsewhere. Just let me know and I’ll start poking around.

SpectatorI can’t help much with Central since I live off campus now but I know for a fact that if you let Kim the RD know in advance of the time that you want the room she will help you schedule it. You can tell her it is for the gaming club and to call me if she has questions, remember to clean up and keep things looking nice after we use the room so they will keep letting us use it.

SpectatorI think a mini LAN early in the semester would be a great thing for all incoming freshman, and guys like myself who are just returning back to the University after some time off, if not just for some casual gaming and joking around.

SpectatorYour doing all these events and yet you haven’t ran for Console President yet? You know it makes things easier if you do

SpectatorI already did, come to the first meeting and run for the position.

SpectatorHaving a Smash event is great and all but someone should organize a mini 360 lan too. Or even just have them at the same time like we did last semester.

Unless Kaz, you want to try and do a double thing with your smash event. There should be more than enough room in the multipurpose room, no?
August 19, 2008 at 5:44 pm #54073FTE Kaz-Ka
SpectatorYea, if anyone is willing to bring a 360, you can, I dont care. Whoever brings it though will have bring their own 360 and TV cause the projection screen will be for Brawl since that is the headlining event. We MAY have spacing issues though if somone else brings another Wii or 360 because I have promised room for a PS3 to Josh Saturday, but still feel free to bring one if you like. Also, I know this is a little off topic but I wouldnt mind running an actual tournament for anything PS3 or Wii related since I do have both systems. I wouldnt be able to do anything with soon with the Wii though because mine is going in to Nintendo for repair. I might try to bring this up next Friday during the meeting.

SpectatorThere should be plenty of room if you have the equipment. The equipment is the hard part.
