Actually I am very used to camping out locations in WW2 based shooters. The reason I don’t like the AWP is because I can shoot you in the stomach or the head and it’s still going to kill you. (unless you shoot someone in the foot). Any moron can achieve these hit positions. I prefer to play sniper/rifle play in DOD:S because it is less of an arcade style of play. There aren’t 6 people on the team using the kar98 in one house camping 4 hostages on DOD:S. However it doesn’t really matter, I’ll figure out new things to complain about in TF2 :P

True that it is a different play when only one on a team can use the sniper, but simply because the sniper in DoD:S, etc can also 1-shot you. The AWP is a .50calibur gun, anything hit with a .50calibur bullet will be left in pretty terrible shape, especially torso and up. Leg shots do 87, 79, etc damage and don’t kill. Same with being hit in the arm on most shots.

Range brings me to my next point, I love when people yell about getting 1hitted from the other side of the map. Watch any shotty player, they strafe and shoot maybe 6-8 times to kill someone from far. Cause you can’t get every pellet to hit from over a certain distance, it’s impossible unless your target is say – red barn. What they don’t realize is that when they have 50 hp left, running to defuse on d2 and turn the corner on longA – it’s not a hard 2 shot with a shotty, maybe even a 1(distance isn’t that far if they’re charging the corner).

As you can see not once have I mentioned the point modifiers, I’m happy you guys reasoned your answers and understand your choices, thank you. Also when is the cap going to 15 instead of 10?

Actually, my problem with distance occurs regularly on maps such as Inferno, D2, etc when I got shot for 100+ damage from a person using a shotgun when he’s on the opposite end of mid or on the opposite end of banana, etc.

Trolling would require my post to be deliberately incorrect with the intention to provoke negative response. It would be much easier to argue that ignoring the key points of someones thought out and on topic post to simply reply with “Obvious troll is obvious” is trolling instead.

Trolling is an attempt to incite or provoke an angry or “negative” response, it does not need to be deliberately incorrect but just one’s opinion. Your post is an attempt at trolling because you choose to tell us we’re wrong without posing any questions yourself or asking for sources, etc. Your post carried a swagger to it that everything we’ve said has been wrong and that everything you say is right, without any question of a doubt. Because of so, it is an attempt at trolling.
