So for two days now I havent been able to join the 1.6 server because i get a cl_FlushPacketEntity error message, then 1.6 crashes due to NET_PACKET w23jnnl (and other variations of letters and numbers)’
anyone know what this is? Google hasnt been much help to me

tapping crouch while walking as u would while running…. i added that in cause ppl do that “in protest” when ppl say no crouch running

I’ve already talked to briefs about this. While rejoining after you’ve already played that round can be frowned upon, it deserves a warning/notice to say that it is not allowed before any punishment can be made (rejoining for money rule). While he should have warned about that before slaying, he was correctly enforcing the rule so i cannot punish him for that. I remind Briefs of this and i warned him about “hasty” slays/bans for the future
I also feel that you were at fault for having a name similar to “WCU admins are terrible” and generally being disrespectful to an admin (also in our rules) I wish you would have come and posted before antagonizing an admin but because of the things you said, and hour ban is appropriate. I feel we could have had a different out come.
In the future, just bring matters like this to me, or any of the other executives so we can either further explain the rules, or reprimand the admin who violated a rule.

Honestly, MasterP said all the reasons why we do not allow it on the server. Personally I enjoy “attempting” to bunny hop, especially on kz maps (my other love) but when being used in combative situations it can really become a pain in the *edited* to all. You have to remember, we cater to not only skilled players, but noobies who just bought the game and by not allowing it we help eliminate some of that gap.
One other point i would mention is that you are correct, allowing it when just messing around, or doing the red rock jump (its easier to strafe btw) its fine, but if we allowed bhoping then, and not in other situations, it becomes really hard to define a solid border between them. In the end, it is just easier for us to prohibit all bhoping and be able to point to a solid rule, than lets say “oh i was bhoping out of spawn and a CT just happened to be there” and have the admin need to decide if that is “acceptable bhoping” or not.

If they are allowed to cut freely there wouldn’t be nearly as many outages. When I worked for Duke Energy I tagged trees to cut a few times a week. It’s not something we like to do but it’s much better than answering the phone when you call about a power outage. Then again, we’ve automated that
lol i was being the voice of Connecticut there…. we have power outages CONSTANT from September to March because of trees falling everywhere

Vote map was up for around 2-3 months last year (right before we got a new rotation with cpl_tdm). It was initially popular at first, but drove many people away because first we had it set to majority win, and that drove half the people away. Then we tried 66% wins and that still was fail because half the people left. I persoanlly like the freedom of it SO much more than rotation, but in practice votemap tends to fail. :/
yea you can argue “OH LOOK AT GT, THEY VOTE MAP WHY CANT WE” but ive watched over the past month and really its hit or miss with them. They can be 100% full one moment then empty for 2 hours later. And i dont particularly like that and dont want that sporadicness here.
If the majority of you guys want it to be a votemap system, lets go ahead and figure out just how we want it to work. I don’t want to put one in and have WCU turn back to how it was this summer. This will also be a long process, and probably will not be in place until after the new year (as im uber busy until then). Until that point, i vote we keep updating the rotation periodically and keep things updated, and when we have a full plan, at that point we can figure out if that will be the best course of action.

thats what i’ve always wanted to do, but everytime i bring it up i get a wave of negativity. Make a vote and see what people currently want. We do have a lot of new members who may have different ideas.
