So here is the problem as concise as i can get it:

-When trying to join or host games with my friends i get a “unable to connect to host” message.

-I can’t use private chat with my friends

-I can’t host or join xbl parties

–I CAN join any game via matchmaking, whether it be ground war, ffa, etc.

I never have issues with lag or ping. I pwn face actually.

–My NAT is Open, and so is my friends.

–I’m connected via belkin router. I have tried opening up all xbl ports, i’ve tried disabling the router firewall, i’ve tried dmz, and combination of all.

Has anyone had this issue? Or how to resolve it?

    methinks i see the problem…

try connecting the xbox directly to the modem and see if everything works or not

Port forwarding and DMZ don’t actually work on Belkin routers, especially DMZ, you can set it and still randomly get blocked ports.

Do what Nickname said and if everything works plugged directly into the modem then you might try updating the router firmware or buying a brand that isn’t garbage.

Also check to make sure you aren’t Double NAT, that breaks everything.

just realized i never had my router set up to have it’s settings altered remotely. So all that *edited* i thought i did, never clicked with the router. lol as soon as i turned remote access on, all my problems were solved!

    inb4 i am a noob.
