ParticipantWell, most of that means nothing to me at first glance.
How much smaller is the Soprano compared to your last case?
July 25, 2007 at 2:12 pm #23804Fascist Flakes (Jagr)
ParticipantThe Armor’s dimensions are:
20.8” x 8.7” x 22” (H x W x D)
while the Soprano’s are:
19.5″ x 8.3″ x 18.9″
If you remember what Kuros’s computer looks like, its the same case. Except mine has a window :>
So when are we building yours? ;D

ParticipantThe video card really pushed it up since it was $520, lol. If I had gone with a mid-range card it would’ve been ~1k. But with the video card it pushed it up to ~1300 with instant-savings, rebates, etc.
July 25, 2007 at 6:54 pm #23822Cacophony
ParticipantAh, nice. I do remember his.

I assume you’re getting your money’s worth out of it though.

ParticipantLol of course, we would get you a more affordable card. I’m buying the card myself so I decided to go ahead and get something I know I’ll use for 2-3, maybe more, years in the future

Kuros selling his computer???After putting in 500 GB? Are you serious?
I’ll sell it for around $200. And it’s because I want to go to the 8800 GTX and possibly a 2nd after a while.
July 27, 2007 at 1:57 am #23878Fascist Flakes (Jagr)
ParticipantOh, he wants to compete :>
Here I thought he was liquidating, lul.
By the way, the Soprano can’t hold the GTX unless you want to take a Dremmel to it, which I’m doing tomorrow. And with your 3 hard drives, I don’t know if you’ll be able to since you have to cut away some of your hard drive cage.
July 27, 2007 at 2:30 am #23881Kuros
ParticipantI have to buy a bigger case. I’m looking at the full ATX version of the soprano. Or at least to me it’s the full ATX version. I do challenge you to beat my case wiring though. I don’t have modular cabling and it still *edited*ing kicks *edited*. I’ll let you see it when we get back for RCC training.

Participantwith leet case wiring, you’ll get all the sex
July 27, 2007 at 10:03 am #23890Fascist Flakes (Jagr)
ParticipantYeah the VE version of the Soprano will hold the 8800GTX no problems, it is like 1″ longer, which allows the GTX to fit. Unfortunately its also some ridiculous $35 more than the Soprano I bought.
And yeah, I usually have terrible case wiring so I wouldn’t doubt your wiring will completely own mine

Bah. If I could be bothered to drag my full tower to one of your lans I’d show you some nice cabling using stock cable and none of that fancy schmancy crap.
*all* of my drive lines, light/button wires, and PSU wires are invisible except where they plug in.July 30, 2007 at 9:17 pm #24025Fascist Flakes (Jagr)
ParticipantYeah, I was never good at doing all of that stuff Liam. >
