So after fixing my speed by splitting the node everything was fine. Then Dec 7th my internet decided it was going to drop 20-50% of the packets it was sending out to my first hop (outside my house). Got a call this morning from a lady who asked me to check my internet that they were doing some trial and error stuff to fix the line. No packet loss!! Yay xD. I was seriously waiting 2-6 minutes to get to sites like gmail and wachovia x_X. Anywho, just thought I’d share!

Congrats. Mediacom gave me a new modem and now I get 8Mbps.
