Well i have a new problem, and i hope you guys can help me out.

I got tired of vista, and decided to get windows 7 RC.

So i downloaded and this morning formated the HD that had vista.

And installed Windows 7 on it.

When i turn on my pc there are 3 things to chose from

    Older Version of windows “XP”

    Windows 7

    Microsoft Windows Vista

When i chose windows 7 or windows vista just black screen and nothing…. Help??

BTW i have 2 HD’s, my main one, XP, and my other 40 gb for testing OS’s (with Windows 7 that doesnt boot right now)

    do this:

boot with your windows XP CD

    goto recovery console (hit ‘r’)

    type “fixmbr” then hit enter

then type “fixboot c:” then hit enter

restart your computer; it SHOULD boot right into windows XP

now in my computer, right click your d drive and format

put in your windows 7 disc, setup launches, choose “custom” installation (i think thats all you can do) and tell it to install on d drive, and install windows 7 like normal

when you are all done you should get a boot loader with 2 options: “Windows 7 Ultimate” and “Previous Version of Windows”

    enjoy
