I have the latter card, If I just swapped it out of my rig into the rig I’m building would I see that big of a preformance difference than if I bought the nVidia 8500gt?

Both brands aren’t terribly good but from a stats-only perspective the Nvidia card smokes the ATI. Core is about 20% faster and the memory is close to twice as fast.

I agree with masterP, if you have to choose between those 2 then go for the nvidia card.

I’ve always had better experiences with the Nvidia so I keep sticking with that in my computers….
