my buddy told me to get the game and join his guild and *edited* which a bunch of the locals are playing it around here that i know, anyone else playing it? it just came out?
i’m looking into playing it in the future with some friends i met at CPCC during my senior year in high school. But until i get a job, i will not be able to afford the monthly fee…
I’m playing it, sorta… Not really much time for games right now but I bought it regardless. Figure it’ll give me something to do from time to time.
I want to play it. I’m a huge 40K fan, but don’t mind Fantasy. Besides, Orks are Orks in the Warhammer world. You really can’t go wrong.
Do you still have to preorder or pay a dollar to get into the Beta?
Its officially released now so there is no more beta, I don’t know about a trial account or anything yet.
It isn’t really all that bad so far. While I do think the graphics are a bit dated, especially close up, it has at least held my attention for several hours lol.
I’ll talk about it more once I get into a higher level, can’t really judge an MMO by its cover >.<
oh yeah same here, im on Dark Crag server on EVIL which is full 90% of the time so im always in queve to play on it but because my friends and guild is on it, its fun *edited*, but besides the *edited* monthly fee i like it a lot
There are a lot of people playing on Dark Crag from FA, etc Kappa. A few people from Wendigo and such went and joined them I believe as well.
Wendigo and FA people? I’ll have to check that out. Any names?
The worst part about the game, for me, is the animations. Some of them feel incomplete and don’t sync up well with your abilities. Mounts look awful when running around. For some reason (maybe for frame sake?) the further away I am the worse animations look. As in, they don’t look complete and fluid. Given the lack of graphical intensity I don’t see why it would be necessary to cut back on character animations from a distance.
At any rate, the animations are really causing me annoyance but I’m hoping I get over it. The big thing I keep thinking is “These animations have the same flaws that DAoC’s animations had…”
The pvp is fun though.
Seeing how the same people who made DAoC made WAR, I wouldn’t doubt the animations look the same and have the same flaws
. As far as Wendigo and FA people, etc.. Immo has some as well, of course:
hey i liked daoc it was so much fun sitting on the bridges and backstabbing the enemies all night long and listing to them whine about it knowing there was nothing they could do about it or be on my wizard or sorc and rape huge groups at the posts between forts
wewt, I just broke down and bought it because it looks like so much fun, i think i’m gonna roll a witch hunter because i like doing a LOT of damage but i dont know anyone from the club who plays order…
