Should we have it?
I say yes, because the play/guest has a say what map to go to next

vote map = 24/7 D2 it doesent lkeep the servers full,, we have been doing this for 4 years now… and a rotation has always keeped the servers more populated.
Acidak if you want to play a different map then vote to have it added to the rotation. But the way that the votemap plugins are wrote just doesn’t fit the gaming model.
we had votemap for a while and it SUCKED!!!!! now that we took the off the sever is almost always populated and it is a lot more fun

votemap was decent when we had it, but now that we don’t have it anymore, the server is sooo much better. it’s filled up almost every night, and i think the rotation is great, with the exception of a few maps. but if it’s on a map you don’t like, it teaches you to be more adaptable. so i say no to the votemap, even tho i don’t think anyone would consider it anyway. not to be mean, but i don’t think it would go under consideration.
Wow, I’ve finally done it. After 2 years this club is finally anti-votemap. The most terrible plugin ever written IMO.

An option I would like to discuss ( I love the rotation, btw), is a RTV option where if enough players want they can start up a random map vote, maybe less random but more along the lines of all the maps in the rotation, or something along those lines. Anyways lets say the map is tides and on the off chance no admins are on or available, and CTs are being SUPREME AWP *edited*S and there is 5 AWPs on CT side, well you see where I am going with this, this could end up being a very boring map, so maybe the people should decide where to go and get out of that mess, via RTV. What yall think? Also maybe it is only available when an admin is not on?
the votemap is bad. i remember we tried to make it so if a map was played in the last 2 hours it wouldhn’t come up in the vote but i don’t think it ever worked
For anyone who does not know how RTV works, a player types in rtv and then 80% of all the other players have to also type rtv to initiate a random map vote, I would say 80% but it could be any percentage really its just an example.

well actually i think the rtv might be okay because there are times where a good 1/3 of the server leaves in 2 mins becaue they dont like piranesi or survivor
now i LOVE those maps but hey… some ppl only wanna play dust2
Just to clarify as well, mostly to 18 and 13, this thread was initially posted for 1.poop I believe…but RTV would be a nice addition to the server, although with the dismissal of tides, Train is the only other map I dislike(besides Dust2, but that’s obviously staying) with a fiery passion.

%80 vote is retarted hard to get btw.. if something ever got 80% of the people not liking it, then it should be moved off the server.
I’d say for just over half %55-60 shuld be the delimiter for mapchange
