As of yesterday, Urban has been given a period of time each day that he can participate with the Gaming Club again. These hours are from 6-11 each night. During this time he can play on the servers and post on the forums.
Hopefully everyone here can accept this and not start dragging up the past.
Personally, I’m glad to see him make the effort to come and talk to us and try to make amends.
Dont worry guys, he will never have admin again. But i think its interesting to have his outlook. He has been around this club for about 2 -3 years now and has had many bans. I dont know if he will grow up but who cares we can always ban him back. I think he wants to play cod4 so .. because its dead i see no harm.
So how many times do we forgive bans? Isn’t this like the 3rd or 4th time we’ve banned him and the 3rd or 4th time he hasn’t changed?
This is seriously getting old.

I don’t understand why permanent bans are now negotiable. They never were before, why start making exceptions now? Next thing you know true *edited* hackers like Many Whelps will be unbanned.

We are a freaking community of people, I think everyone deserves another chance, you all act like it is some HUGE ordeal to reban somebody when you all know its not. This is not a corporate company and we need ALL the interest in this club we can get, stop being freaking nazis about stuff or I will be just as nazi about things you all do.

Both of us felt pretty betrayed when the *edited* did finally hit the fan. I did unban him in order to let him play again because his original ban by gxti never really had too much merit other than he got on gxti’s nerves. He did personally attack me when he was suspended and was thusly banned for his behavior. As president at the time, I did not feel that I should have to take his verbal abuse when he was in the wrong for abusing the power that was given to him. If you wish to unban him and give him a 2nd chance, that is your business. As someone who has already been through it, I’m just trying to give my opinions and save you from wasting your time. This would be Urban’s 4th chance…how many more does he get? He’ll be fine for a week or 2, maybe even a month and then it’ll all start over again.
And then, he’ll be banned, you forget I was right there with you when all that went down and I was AGAINST letting him have admin, I had no problem with him being unbanned. I think anyone who comes back to us after being banned asking for another chance, depending on the circumstance, should be given it, I mean it has been a while since that all went down, and he has grown up a little bit, maybe he will be more mature, who knows. The fact is if he screws up, he will be instantly gone and won’t be given another chance until I don’t have a say in it anymore.
As you said, the ban hammer passes to each president, it is indeed my decision to make and I will give people chances.

Just don’t shoot us for giving our opinions.I’m not shooting anyone, unlike a fascist president where he would immediately shoot you down dead, I am giving you my own reasoning and opinion on the issue.
Ill always take the fall for giving a person another chance. Hey man i am all about changing people. I think of this club like family .. dismissing a person for reasons that we dismiss urban isn’t holding much weight. I thought we all talked about giving urban some time to cool off. I mean anyone who losses access will proceed to be arrogant. Let them cool off and give them a chance to prove them self. I mean .. its not that huge of a window guys. Its just an attempt to let things slide.
kuros i don’t personally attack people out of the blue. i played on wcu all the time with and without admin. i’ve been through just as much if not more with this club. i even remember when you joined. you were really cool and fun to play with. and occasionally grumpy because you had to take care of a preggers wife/girlfriend whatever. i didn’t care. but then you got powerhungry. admin rules stated that we couldn’t even VOTE for a map with over 15 people. with about 30 people in server you changed it to the same map twice after we already played it through rotation.
i love the map but some people don’t. and then you slayed/kicked/banned people for killing you or blocking the door 5 seconds into the round. not because they ran and stood there, but because they spawned with lag or they minimized cs for a sec. you banned atleast 2 admins and atleast 5 reg’s. and no action was taken against you because you were the pres. i simply said that there should have been action taken against it otherwise this is just a hierarchy and a parliamental government where the “king/prez” has the final say. you banned me because i said you should be punished.
and im not sure what you are saying about me having a 4th chance? i’d say im still on my first. i have been banned 2 times for a good reason. maybe a third i don’t remember but i know there were 2. adam banned me for 30 mintes for cursing off an admin. and liam banned me for 30 days(even though i still say it was wrong whatever). i have NEVER been banned perm for a legit reason. the followin are NOT LEGIT REASONS: kore_wa banning me for telling him to “not talk to me” because he abused me every chance he got. and you shane baker for banning me because i said you should be punished.
im tired now and its nearly 11 so i’ll just post again tomorrow.

Bitey, from someone outside of the actual university you are are doing well so far, although I cannot see inside the thick of things… i wish I could though, I would be in there in a heart beat…and hopefully things run smoothly from outside the server as they are running inside the server…

The number 1 reason you were banned so many times is because of your mouth. You will learn to control it. This isn’t your first chance man.. This will be your last. We can’t waste anymore energy on these types of things. You of all people should understand that.
If you can control your mouth, I think alot of people will be surprised. But ill tell you first off .. Telling Shane he was wrong and bringing up old issues/problems/threads… ect. Is not where you should start. What you should say is “I just wanna play” Having that said you are not the most liked person on these forums. You have plenty of room for improvement.

and adam i do know that i’ve been wrong plenty of times. but i also know that more times than not i was accused of doing wrongs i didn’t do. i know i have a big mouth and that i run it more than needed. but thats just my way of handling things.
in this world people push over others to get to the top. those who don’t stand up for themselves don’t live a good life. people try to downgrade others. as the whites did to blacks many years ago, they tried to dehumanize them so that they wouldn’t fight. well i refuse to be dehumanized. to be stripped of my personallity and be a simple drone.
you ask me to hand you your water bottle once or twice? sure. but im not going to fetch your bottle from across a building or field twice a day everyday. i refuse to be someones “*edited*” or their personal lapdog. as the saying goes, you scratch my back ill scratch yours. but when someone wants me to give them a 30 minute massage and if i dont then they’ll curse me off? well i’ll be damned if they truly think im not going to make the eat dirt.
admins consider themselves higher on the “food chain”. they think that they can gag you or kick you or ban you and you won’t say anything because of fear. well i don’t let them. i rebel. thats who i am. be it 5 minutes ago, 5 days ago, or 5 months ago. if i wasn’t given the right to defend myself i’ll do it whenever i get a chance.

If you can’t come in here with a positive attitude, you won’t be posting here anymore. While your opinion is your own and your feelings are your own, nobody has done anything to bring up the past in the way that you are currently harping on it.
There is a way of doing things, if you are being abused then you need to shut your trap and make a record of it instead of mouthing off and only getting yourself into more trouble.
And please don’t even try to relate yourself to slaves, your situation is in no way similar to what went on there, stop trying to throw a pity party and move on from the past, bringing it up will solve nothing.

mmkay, let me comment once, it is all you’ll hear from me unless you give me reason to personally throw down with you… (forgive the hostility, it comes out in certain conditions)
First off, there’s a TON of communities around. and at that a TON of GAMING communities. Almost every community you will come across has some standard of behavior, and some common ideology. Any such community will defend its standard of behavior and common ideology if need be from people that sharply contrast with it. In the past you showed such strong behavior as to strongly clash with ours [1], and so we simply showed you the door. You keep coming back, maybe because you like us, maybe not. But if you want to join up to our community, you’re going to have to conform at least some to our standards of behavior and our ideology. If you don’t want to [2], go find another club. We won’t ask you to tend to anyone, we won’t ask you to be the slave of anyone. If you feel like we are asking this of you, then go ahead and step out now and find another community. I only speak to my admins, because that is the limit of my scope of governance, but I do have good faith in the other admins you will encounter: they will not take admin actions on anyone just because they feel like it or just because they can [3]. They are to only do so when someone is making the community less welcoming, and/or whenever someone is openly breaking rules. If they’re still acting against anyone, then that person can be certain that they have themselves been wrong. It appears you are familiar with that side of things, but perhaps not aware of it in that sense.
Now, second… you certainly are no diplomat. Generally with any degree of pardon, the one who was pardoned should show some sort of gratitude. Or at least some sort of a motivation to make changes in what it was that earned them the punishment in the first place… Here’s a lesson that will go far with you in life: learn the value of the word “thanks” and try to incorporate that into your vocabulary. I wouldn’t be all over your case right now if you came back modestly, but you seem to be back and attempting a coup. Show us that you aren’t coming back into our community all gung-ho about continuing all that you’ve done in the past, and I’ll respect that.
