Oh Malley
ParticipantWill the tourney coming up follow the same format as last tourney or will it change at all? Hopefully, we’ll be able to play on TVs this go around instead of the projectors, but whatever we’ve got will do. And hopefully it will at least be MLG settings too…

ParticipantWe’re shooting for individual TVs – hopefully we can grab enough between players and the UC. MLG settings? We don’t need no stinkin’ MLG settings! (But yeah – it’s up to Akuzan)

Participantwell we had all the tv’s last time….but no one brought their *edited* 360’s….so dont complain unless you plan to help. wasnt my fault i brought my tv and 360 and contacted everyone who said they could bring a 360 and none of them did….so blame them. and yes mlg is cool and all but seeing as maybe 3 people who will play in the tourney know what MLG settings are….they will not do too much. i love mlg and all but seeing as there mght be 10-15 people in the tourney, and maybe 2-3 know what mlg is…it doesnt matter. get some more people to participate and i will gladly do mlg but most of the people in this tourney it is recreational play. so get more people and i will gladly make it 4v4 mlg instead of boring FFA or even 2v2 mlg.

Participant2v2 might work best if the crowd wants to do teams. But I can bring my 360. I only have 1 controller though. I have most of the settings as well. Oh well. It wouldn’t be a bad thing to expose people to MLG settings. Besides, it’s balanced. Oh well. WCU Gaming should sponsor some people for an MLG event. That’d be cool. But oh well, that’s for another thread and another time.
But like I said, I have a 360, a controller, Halo 2 and the Map Pack incase someone needs it.

ParticipantWell if we have time during the LAN, would it be possible to do an FFA tourney and a 2v2?
Use the FFA standings to do a seeding placement for the 2v2.
But as far as the FFA goes, weapon set should be Human and possibly limited to just Midship and Lockout. Beaver Creek can be quite unfair in some cases, even with a Human weapon set. And if you do a 1v1 final, do it on Warlock, Human weapon set. Midship is all right, but BR on the midship can pretty much own every spawn. Hard to counter if you’re starting with an SMG.

Participantthank you for your opinion but i know what the mlg rules are and what maps they are played on. We might have time to do a FFA and 2v2 but we also have to do a gears tourney. Last time Halo took up so much time that Gears had barley 1 hour to finish it all. But if everyone brings in all of the things they say they will bring then we will most likey have time for it. If we do a 2v2 i will let everyone choose their own teams and the few who do not have a partner will be placed with someone. If we play FFA the only map will be midship. If we play 2v2 the only maps will be Lockout, Midship and Beaver Creek. The weapon set will be all MLG with the exception of Beaver Creek which will be Rifles only (To stop Rocket *edited*s). If we have FFA the final will be on Warlock and the weapon set will be MLG 1v1 (Carbine Start). I did not have the time to make it all MLG last time seeing as how all of the tourney had to be makeshifted (projectors). So if we get everything we need then we will be able to have both. But first everyone needs to bring their *edited*….it also must have the update for halo……its annoying when you bring one and we cant even use it. So yes if everyone brings what they say they will bring then we will have a swell time (and i dont have to run back and forth to try to get things fixed….)
