Time to Straighten up the Server

I was suggestions and idea on what you think will make the server better and encourage more people to come. I’m gonna through out my idea

 

I first off want to change from the standard rotation to a Votemap server. I know that many of you hate votemap servers, but bare with me. When the votemap would come up you would have the choice first for Classic and Custom maps. Then after one of those win, it would put of 5 maps that havent been played within the last 5 maps and then it would carry on.

 

Also if you guys want, i will put in RTV so that players wont leave everytime a lame map comes up.

 

I’m going work w/ Liam to get amx_alltalk/gag reenacted and get more fun/custom maps added to the server. So lets be patient with that.

 

Also as for stats, i will ask Liam to get this up asap, but give us time with that.

 

 

If you want to suggest fun maps or custom maps you want to see please make a new thread, i want this to be a discussion on the future of this server not what map is “ROXORZ”

Rotation is always a good way to get a stable pop. RTV lets them skip over the retared maps.

i said rotation classic & custom with RTV. I think that this is our best choice for keeping a stable server here.

 

Suggestion for new maps on top of what we have: piranesi, deag_5,

We can make it to where D2 wont be in the vote every 2 maps -.-

See i also completely agree, but with a young and not very steady population, i think the votemap would be more effective in keeping people in the server. Most people’s initial reaction when they see a map they don’t like coming up is to just leave. I’m hoping that having a votemap would keep the population up.

 

Although im pushing votemap now, i still think that a strong rotation is better for a full server which is why if the votemap works then ill will change back once the population is strong again.

 

 

but its what the population thinks, you guys are the ones who will be playing so i’ll go with what you want

I always find that the server gets more people with a vote system, mebbe after we get it constantly populated we can bring back the classic rotation, until then we can play the same 3 maps

I think that a votemap would help the server regain the population it once had back in the day but even if im wrong its worth a try aat least.

a hard rotation is not something sexual you canadian it is a hard rotation of popular maps… meaning just a few popular maps played over and over again

That idea wouldn’t work because people that play for more than an hour at a time would get sick of the same maps ^^

i personally like the rotation with classic, maybe have fun maps on fridays (fun night or whatever)

its time we get moving on this. Most of you want something with classic & custom maps, you guys jsut cant decide on votemap or rotation.

 

since “the rotations” have one more vote compared to “the voters” we will stick with a rotation at this time. just remember nothing is set in stone so if this needs to be looked at again we can go back and revise it. it worked before, get a good rotation and it should work again.

Major said something about alltalk ! I think its a good idea , it adds a fun side to the maps …. But maybe not for ALL maps ! and about RTV I would be important that d2 isnt played every 2 maps
