I have always wanted to put some skins on my computer but I am so scared of them cause I know some of them can get you VAC banned.

Valve has sv_pure 1 which will make it where you cannot use custom skins (unless you allow them in a whitelist.txt). Great for match play but lame for a pub server.

Yo how do you get a skin like that and how much would it slow my game down? I am running off a laptop so my game already goes kinda slow on certain maps…so if it is gonna screw up the game too much i will just not have it. Also, are they legal on WCU server? Maybe that’s a dumb question but i just wasn’t sure so i asked.
Cal takes them away if u have them on your pc no problem there bitey. Also balls it will slow your pc down or your fps rate. Also balls they are free hit me up and ill help ya with them if u want.
dude, that’s a pretty BA skin. i dig the bomb-omg nades. i need to get me some of those. i think i’ve seen a dog turd nade skin before. that would be pretty funny!
for what ever reason source runs 120+ FPS on max settings,, but source will only do 60 max…
kinda liam, but who kares,, anyhting over 60 is not noticable anywho…
also the skins do not slow your FPS down.. i’m sure some could… but i have not noticed any differeance… and like i said not one think on my old shiot is orgional. however if your only getting like 30fps,, its not really worth it.. the humor goes away quickly.. or untill you change it up
Whether or not a skin will slow your computer down depends on the skin. Some skins greatly increase the texture count on the weapons forcing the graphics card to render more detail. This will slow down the game. I run my games in Vsync because it reduces tearing and anything above it is a pointless waste of effort by my cpu. I have a super clocked 8800 gt…it could EASILY run more than 60fps.
