Participantok first, very rarely is a $50 motherboard a good idea. Second, I think gigabyte boards are garbage.
HOWEVER, that $53 gigabyte board is the highest rated board on newegg for socket 775 so… I mean why not?
My concern is I don’t know what kind of CPU/RAM you already have so it’s really hard for me to comment on some of this.

Participantwell like I said that $53 board is the highest ranked on newegg… its pretty basic but considering how yall are asking for help I doubt you need anything very fancy…
April 19, 2009 at 2:42 pm #80537Citan001
ParticipantNo as I understand it she just wants something that will last a few years and get the job done.

something that will last a few yearsif you want that then you will need a new CPU; something much more powerful than that E5200 you suggested Citan.
If you mean last 1-2 years, then get this motherboard then buy a new computer in 1-2 years.
April 19, 2009 at 3:03 pm #80548Citan001
ParticipantJust let me know what yall decide on.
April 19, 2009 at 3:07 pm #80552Hannah Montana
